This is such a bad faith argument because you KNOW for a fact the person in this video did try their best to play in a competitive sense, it did not work out, they had a couple bad experiences with unfair players, and decided to make it everyone else's problem like an asshole.

I will agree that SOME aspects of CERTAIN videogames can lead to SOME players being UNUSUALLY toxic and hateful and make the game SOMETIMES unenjoyable, but genuinely some of the coolest and loveliest people I know come from the competitive scene. Not for me, but I get the appeal

Makes me really appreciate Aether Studios/Offbrand Games for their continued development, even if things have slowed down a bit Riot is worth like several billions of dollars and they STILL ended up killing a game before it was even a year old, but Rivals is still chugging along

Couldn't even get through the planned 3 seasons without throwing in the towel, but here's Aether Studios releasing new characters, new skins, and as much new content as possible in just under 2 years of release. We don't appreciate our developers as much as we should.

Mid level Rival players are a rare breed. They know all their movement options but refuse to learn their kill confirms. They camp with characters that have shitty projectiles. They play like they're afraid of the ball and you're the ball. They play Slade then get mad they lost.
