I had the pleasure of hosting and supervising Sirine Aissaoui, a visiting student from @INSAT92473558 in Tunisia 🇹🇳. Over the past 7 months, she conducted excellent research work, which she defended today at her home institution. My congratulations! 🎓

Excited to begin my sabbatical at @imperialcollege in London! Looking forward to a period of learning, collaboration, and new ideas, and to connecting with colleagues across the UK.

Last Friday, our group took part in the Long Night of Research #LNdF. It is always refreshing to interact with different people and to see both support and skepticism in the crowd. The only right way for us is to keep talking and keep being open.

We just had our Second MMC Symposium - a yearly event that brings our @EderGroup closer and gives a platform to share unusual findings and research problems, updates on the group dynamics
Thanks for the great organization by @Pablo_Ayala_, @Stephen_Sci, and Huang.

Successful 2-day workshop on photoluminescence & device applications at TU Wien with @PicoQuant as part of the @COE_MECS symposium. Great talks, sharp technical discussions, and a fantastic atmosphere — capped off with pizza-fueled discussions!
Yesterday, FWF held an event highlighting the importance of the Austrian Clusters of Excellence. It is exciting to be a part of this and represent our CoE MECS, dedicated to the development of advanced materials for energy conversion and storage 🚀

Very happy to see this invited review published in ACS Nano
Here, we emphasize the benefits of using molecular oxide, sulfide, and metallic clusters as active sites to facilitate selective and tunable photocatalytic conversions

Co-catalysts are essential for a selective photocatalytic conversion. Cluster co-catalysts feature well-defined and tunable catalytic sites which allow for purposeful co-catalyst engineering.

Hello Connections,
This year has been a really special one in my research journey. I had the chance to present my work, both as oral and poster contributions, at several conferences: @SP9Conference , the Student Conference @vutvbrne , MECS Booster II @COE_MECS , 6th FemChem Scientific Workshop 2025, TUW TCH Science Day @chemistry_tuw , and the Conference on Applied Surface Chemistry – COAST25.
Across these events I shared my research on faceted nanochemistry for energy applications and how it links to surface science to design more efficient materials. I also presented my work on molecular clusters grafted on TiO2 for HER, aiming toward cleaner and more sustainable hydrogen production.
I am genuinely grateful to my supervisor @CherevanAlexey , the @EderGroup , @tu_wien , all collaborators, and @COE_MECS for their support, guidance, and funding.
I had the pleasure of delivering several invited lectures on "Energy of Light for a Sustainable Future" to the students of Brno University of Technology in October and November. Great audience. Hope to build more connections within the EULiST network.

We are now pleased to host @simonjoyson, a visiting PhD student from @MIT_Manipal, working under the guidance of @dhkmurthy. Simon comes to us @EderGroup with a successful Ernst Mach Grant to explore his structural diversity of carbon nitrides in photocatalytic applications🚀
Glad to be invited to give a talk at the Chemical-Physical Society (CPG) of Vienna on Tuesday, 18.11.2025. Do join if the topic of light-driven catalysis is close to your research.
Hope to make new connections at @univienna 🚀
