its time to accept I'm being a little dramatic about not competing. Even with my hand pain I can enter sometimes and it can be fine and healthy. + It's been pretty boring without competing and my computer can't handle other games well anyway LOL I will be entering The Big Shorten
I think I will be at The Big Shorten to hang out
Does anyone have those trading card melee player things that would sell me mine to me?

Hiya! It's that time of year again! Starting on Monday, October 5th, I'll be doing a week long horror stream marathon after work until October 9th to raise money for the Dahnoun Mutual Aid, a Gaza relief fund. Trying to top the $1532 we raised last year :) hope to see you there!
Melee to me is like turning onto a busy road. You must be really good about telling how much time you have to do things based on how fast the other peoples speed is, and what to do when you don't have time
One of my least favorite things that was normalized is how vague questions or “any tips” is useless. Of course, a more direct question would be more useful, but if the person doesn’t have something to work off or is lost giving them what you noticed, even as simple as I noticed your punish game was lacking is genuinely helpful because it narrows something the person can focus on instead of the plethora of things someone can focus on
- from a guy who any tips’d his journey to top 25
In melee, I feel like I was viewed as another must be talented player, but to me my melee journey was quite rocky for the first 3 years and don’t believe I exhibited any talented traits within that time period. Fair enough I don’t think people would view me as a particularly untalented player. I have been back getting into counterstrike recently, a game I have a little over 3500 hours in. In CSGO I had basically never been beyond gold nova master in a little over 3000 of those hours (except for like a day), and in premier I have started around 13k. At 25 years old my objective is for now Faceit level 10, and hopefully beyond that in the future. It’s going to be a journey but im excited to try to get really good at CS which when I was 13 was the first game I wanted to be really good in which I didn’t get close to. Let’s do this :)
Your talent doesn’t have to be figuring out the complexities of something by yourself. It can be figuring out where the complexity is explained the best for you
Learn to differentiate what generally makes sense to you and what actually makes sense to you. Poke holes in what you believe you truly understand as much as you can handle
Humans are so much more impressive than most can ever imagine. At 12 I witnessed a guy at a basketball camp get brought in to shoot 1 handed, shooting from the free throw. Surprisingly he worked his way up to half court, not missing a single shot. The guy easily shot over 10 from half court with one hand. The guy was at least 60. In my opinion the sensitivity that is required to be absurdly consistent at whatever you want is possible and doable, but sometimes not obvious and takes effort to figure out how to get to that point for you
Looking to get some money right now, would anyone be interested in half an hour lessons for 12.50 each?
