Re: Writers bring asked to hand the producers a budget. Um, isn’t that the producer’s job? Doesn’t the same script in the hands of Steven Spielberg or Curry Barker have a completely different budget? A script, pitch deck, budget, proof of concept -all unpaid- to get a read?🤦🏽‍♀️

Huge news for THE OPEN AIR! So honored and thrilled to share this deeply personal story has advanced to the Second Round in the 2027 Sundance Development Lab! Grateful for this nod of validation for a script that means the world to our family and so many others with Down syndrome

So one of the things I want to bring to my set is my culture so I introduced the cast and crew to Haitian food for lunch.

I first wrote this 4 years ago for a film class and my professor told me it was “genius”. I didn’t believe her at the time, so I didn’t listen. I rewrote it and now I see the light lol. So, coming soon, I don’t know when… I’m Not A Rapper.

Today, I don’t want to see any articles or post if it doesn’t have to do with Black filmmakers and Black cinema from “cinephiles” or journalists. It’s Juneteenth. Have some shame! Support Black filmmakers today or don’t tweet until tomorrow.
