Sadness when I’m standing on parliament st and three Americans ask me is it ok to walk down that way to the quays as they heard it was dangerous. Tourism will die some day if something is not done. #irelandtourism

📢 "Let's be clear, this isn't because of a lack of support from the consumer, or a lack of effort on our part - it's because the cost of doing business has spiralled out of control and the Government has refused to take meaningful action to address this."

Leaving saastock to protest with the restaurants. Techies pay my bills but chefs are my tribe. Gotta pass it on.

The industry couldn’t have made more noise about the crisis in our sector !@adriancummins .Decision is beyond tone deaf and once again favours the business with scale whilst ignoring the hard working people trying to make a difference to our precious hospitality landscape .

🚨Wait for the spin
We gave consumers a very favorable budget which will put more money in their pockets which will translate to spending in Retail and Hospitality
What part of “the cost base is out of sync for SMEs to make a profit”
SMEs are like busy fools with no margin

The Lord Mayor of Dublin - Fine Gael Cllr James Geoghegan - joined ‘The Tonight Show’ as part of a panel discussion on the recent wave of restaurant closures and its impact on towns, villages and cities - including the capital - last night.
As part of the debate, @GeogheganCllr expressed his and Fine Gael's support for the reinstatement of the 9% VAT rate in Budget 2025 to ensure the survival of independent restaurants, cafés and pubs in Dublin city and throughout the country.

I did tee him up alright. But this would’ve been a 90 minute roast if there was some whiskey or tequila in the engine.
On my short travels stopped @1826Adare last week .. a long time since I had a dish of black sole this good … Wade and Elaine running another superb restaurant which isn’t easy these days … absolutely brilliant
Home made charcuterie to start the meal @ChestnutWCork . I must say it took a few years to get here but I was only saddened by what I had been missing . A true gem of a restaurant and you can’t support small businesses like this enough … bravo !
