Single dad. Ex-chef.
Used to work 60-hour weeks in a kitchen.
Now it’s dinner, home ed, then she tries to steal my chair for Fortnite or Minecraft...🤣
This page is:
• recipes and lazy chef hacks
• kids in the kitchen
• learning that doesn’t look like school
• games after the plates are in the sink
Not a guru.
Just raising her in real time.
What does after-dinner look like at yours?

Over two years ago, I shared this post about my 7-year-old son, Ollie. ❤️👇
He had a dream of creating books for his little brother. Somewhere along the way, he also became curious about NFTs.
So, like any dad with more enthusiasm than experience, I thought… well, let’s give it a crack! 😂
Fast-forward to 2026, and Ollie’s now 10. 🌈
What started as a little father-and-son idea has turned into a much bigger adventure than either of us imagined.
We’ve dreamed up characters, created countless illustrations, published books, experimented with merchandise and explored all sorts of ideas.
I’ve also spent a ridiculous number of hours learning how to build websites, apps and tools, meeting some amazing people along the way.
Has everything gone to plan? Absolutely not. 😂
We’ve made mistakes, changed direction, put ideas on hold and probably tried to tackle far too many things at once.
But through all of it, the reason we started Little Ollie has never changed.
I’m just a dad who wanted to encourage his son’s imagination, help him chase his ideas and hopefully build something together that we can both look back on and be proud of.
And that brings us to today.
After everything we’ve learned, we’re slowly finding our way back to one of our original ideas…
Little Ollie Genesis. 🌈
We’re exploring a collection where people can do more than simply mint a random character.
The idea is to give people the opportunity to help create their own unique Little Ollie Genesis character — something that feels personal to them, with possibilities for characters, families and adventures as the world grows.
We’re not rushing to launch.
No grand roadmap. No promises of the moon. No pressure to be the next big thing.
We just want to create something fun, do it properly and enjoy the journey with the people who want to be part of it.
To kick things off, we’re bringing together our 11 Founding Chapters of 101 — a way for early supporters to become part of Little Ollie’s beginning.
Chapter 01 — The First 101 is currently welcoming expressions of interest through our Discord.
Whether you’ve been here since that very first post or you’re only discovering Little Ollie today, you’re more than welcome.
And to everyone who’s supported us along the way, genuinely, thank you. ❤️
It’s been one hell of a learning experience, and there’s still so much we want to explore.
One dad. One little mate. A whole world of possibilities. 🌎🌈
Let’s see where this adventure takes us.

Holidays went too fast.
Fortnite. Minecraft. Late nights. Sleep-ins.
Cinema. Ice skating. Sleepovers.
Daddy-daughter dates.
Term 4 starts tomorrow.
First full term of unschooling.
We’re ready.
School was starting to shrink her.
Too many kids, not enough room for how she learns.
Not the teacher’s fault. Just the system.
She’s happier. Settled. Excited to learn.
The daily meltdowns are mostly gone.
She’s more herself.
That’s the whole point.
Haven’t posted in a week. 😬
Last week of term.
Now holidays.
Busy in the best way.
Wouldn’t change a thing.
Almost two years ago it felt like the end.
I thought I’d failed.
It wasn’t the end.
It was the start of finding out who I was as a dad.
Mindset.
Mental health.
Meditation.
The gym.
Showing up for a little girl who didn’t understand why her world changed.
I’m stronger now.
Happier.
Closer to her than I’ve ever been.
Family still in my corner.
She’s still my everything.
Grateful doesn’t cover it.
Have you ever felt like its the end and it was actually the beginning? 🤔

Dance this morning.
Swim this afternoon.
Smiles all day.
Watching her thrive is the whole point.
Two classes. One very tired dad. Still grinning.
No schooling today.
Gym time. Laundry time.
Then she calls from her mum’s phone.
“Meet me in the lobby.”
So now I’m rushing the last set
so I can get home and hunt sprites with my gamer princess.
Dad life.
What’s your Saturday looking like?
Library day.
She didn’t feel like learning.
Wanted movies and the couch.
So we hugged until she was ready.
Hit lunch with a smile.
80% of the plan already done.
Rest of the day off. Chill earned.
Also week 5 of the rat project.
Ends with two real rats.
I’m not ready. She is.
This is why we do it at home.
Proud of her. Learning next to her.
What’s your version of a hard morning that still turned?
Low key Monday.
Raced around the playground.
Reading. Writing. A bit of sneaky science.
She smashed the lot with a smile.
Early finish.
Zero Build. Sprite hunt.
Then a long-jump map where she snuck into my chair and spent all my coins while I made dinner.
Teaching. Learning. Gaming. Giggling.
Grateful doesn’t cover it.
She’s my world.
What did your Monday actually look like?
Slept in this morning. Gym. Shower. Washing.
Then a few games of Zero Build and Lego Fortnite with my gamer girl from her mum’s.
Headsets on. She’s singing Miku Miku. 🥰
Time to get off for dinner and she says.. “GG’s Daddy. I love you.”
House is quiet now. That sentence is still in the room.
What’s the last thing your kid said that stayed with you?
🤖 Made with AI
Off to mini golf with my daughter this morning.
Then an American diner for lunch.
Simple day. Good people.
Grateful for the ones who show up.
We are blessed.
Who’s your “special people” this week?
