On Sunday, clocks across the US will return to where they should have been all along.

ALT A three-panel meme contrasts standard length, standard weight, and standard time. The first panel shows rulers with the text “Standard Length: 1 inch = 1 inch” beside a smiling bespectacled Wojak. The second shows metal weights with the text “Standard Weight: 1 pound = 1 pound” beside the same smiling character. The third shows a clock surrounded by suns with the text “Standard Time: noon = noon” beside a crying, distressed Wojak, humorously emphasizing support for permanent Standard Time and opposition to shifting clocks away from solar time.

Young men are being told that love of people, place, and inheritance is itself morally suspicious. God’s Word never told them to become men from nowhere so they could love their neighbor.
You were born into a house somebody else built. Your fathers arrived first, and so did the language, the churches, the laws, the wars, the sins, and the graves. You did not make this nation. You were handed a debt, not an entitlement.
Inheritance bestows obligations. You are a steward standing between your grandfather and your grandson, and both have a right to something from you. Conserve what your fathers did faithfully. Confess what they did wickedly. Repair what they ruined. Build what the next generation will need. Do it all for the Lordship of Christ.
God “made from one man every nation of mankind” and set the boundaries of their dwelling place, that they should seek Him (Acts 17:26-27). Love your people. Keep your borders. Perform the stewardship Christ laid on you.
Pastors, give young men that vision before they take their questions somewhere poisonous.

Try asking your husband a question about the Bible. See how it increases his confidence when he sees that you respect him & his opinions. Your affection for him may increase 🙂

We acknowledge that no one has the bandwidth for this, but if it helps:
-It’s ‘sleight of hand’
-It’s ‘bated breath’
-It’s ‘lo and behold’
-It's 'buck naked'
-It’s ‘brass tacks’
-It’s ‘free rein’
-It’s ‘toe the line'

Why expose one’s midriff? I don’t get it, even though the trend started when I was young. Awkward.

I just bought 53 pounds of chicken from Aldi. It would have cost me $109
BUT it was marked half price for a quick sale so I only spent $54

At this point, it's time to memeify it
The goal of ebt is to give people the same quality of life as a "middle class" person. It's literally that simple.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The goal of SNAP (benefits via EBT) is to supplement food purchasing power for low-income households to afford a nutritious diet, not to provide middle-class quality of life.

Greta Gerwig on preparing to write Narnia: The Magician's Nephew:
"I read or re-read everything Lewis wrote. Then I tried to read everything he read."
She also retraced C.S. Lewis's life and steps in Belfast, Cambridge, and Oxford, hoping to better understand the author so that "my instincts would align with his”.

"It was the Lord who put into my mind (I could feel His hand upon me) the fact that it would be possible to sail from here to the Indies...The fact that the gospel must still be preached to so many lands in such a short time - this is what convinces me."
