No, it absolutely belongs there. I'm guessing you haven't used it.

Gemini still sucks for real world software engineer work.

Doesn't necessarily imply distillation (though that could be the case). It just apparently isn't told in its system prompt or training what model it is. So when asked, it invents an answer, and that answer is one of the most common options out there.

Because that doesn't cost them anything. Those are free endpoints. The provider isn't charging for them. The labs are subsidizing this, not opencode.

Is it? I haven't really compared their free/entry level sub offerings for non-technical use cases.
Unfortunately, it is not only a real human, but the owner/founder of a relatively large venture capital company.

...so? Of course it's a gimmick. What's wrong with that? It's a hypercar. The point of a hypercar is to be cool and an impressive feat of engineering, not to be practical.

1. Nothing about that is standard military equipment. This isn't Call of Duty. Sentry guns don't actually exist yet.
2. Even if it were, that's irrelevant to my point. A general technology existing and applying it well to an extremely difficult use case are very different things.

Astra is slightly better at review & diagnosis IMO. Opus writes much better code.

I mean, this thing is 12" long. What's your point?

Just setup a Jev function that reviews DMs and determines whether they're substantive and blocks the sender if not. 😂

I keep having a weird issue where my Codex threads get stuck on "thinking" for an indefinite length of time. Can't steer. I can stop the task but when I try to resume with a new prompt, it doesn't work. Have to close and reopen the app to get it working again.

Damn, good luck. Pretty sure selling your organs, including the essential ones, still wouldn't be enough. 😆

No. But if the gun was on a mechanized mount that perfectly acquires, tracks, and eliminates targets while the skateboard is moving, yes, that would absolutely be new and very impressive engineering.
Wtf did I even just witness with this Roadster unveiling? I am simultaneously extremely impressed and extremely confused. 😂

Wdym? Nothing about this was inaccurate. People mined Bitcoin with their CPUs in the early days and stored it under an encrypted key on their harddrive.
