Messi, I can’t thank you enough. You have given me more joy growing up than anything. I am forever grateful to you for what you have given me and billions of others. You mean so much more than football to us. You have inspired us and made life more beautiful. The child left in me leaves with you today. The hurt from today is not from Messi losing this game, it is from football losing Messi. The greatest of all time. We will never see anyone like you. Your legacy is eternal. I can’t wait to tell my future children about Lionel Messi.
