We're very pleased to share a demo of the latest version of Letro, featuring the latest major feature: profile pictures.

It's a shame the demo gods didn't cooperate all the way till the end, so the attachment wasn't shown due to a bug. But here's Mr Whiskers with the apple pie and the tea, in case you need closure:
ALT Cat sniffing an apple pie, with a tea cup next to the pie.

I'm so happy I could cry! After 5 years of designing and implementing an awful lot of infrastructure to make apps that work securely with and without the Internet, we're finally building the first end-user app that leverages this infrastructure! And here's a sneak peek.
That's right, we secured funding to build a basic version of Letro 🎉
Since there are no Awala-compatible apps yet, we’ll be building @CheLetro. It’ll be analogous to email, but unlike email, and thanks to Awala: an Internet connection isn't needed, all messages will be end-to-end encrypted, and spamming and phishing will be virtually impossible.
