Abstract didn’t do a token launch, and the farmers lost their minds. Let’s be honest about who’s screaming the loudest. It’s not the genuine users, who truly cared about the @pudgypenguins brand. Plenty of them lost real money and time and still posted mature takes. It’s the people running 7 wallets to farm points for an airdrop, then playing victim when the free money didn’t show up. It's the farmers who don't even hold a single @pudgypenguins asset or $PENGU. The ones who dumped $PENGU as soon as they received their airdrop back in 2024, and are just hoping for more tokens to dump. You weren’t a user. You were a farmer. You were hoping to get money free airdrop and when you couldn't get your money, you decided to riot. Everything in crypto is a bet. Nothing was ever guaranteed. If you didn’t understand that, that’s on you, not the founders. Startups aim high and sometimes fail. That’s how business works, web2 or web3. Launching a token anyway would have been the easy way out. It would have fed the farmers and hurt the business long term. Not doing it was the harder call. It takes a man to make a decision @LucaNetz knew would upset a LOT of people, but he pulled the trigger, knowing it was for the greater good. @andygamblor gave away over $1M in 7 months on Abstract. The Pudgy Penguins team gave out over $1.5 billion in the $PENGU airdrop back in 2024, some to people who never even got involved in the Pudgy Penguins brand. The lesson? Nobody remembers. Extractors only ever want more. Now the same crowd is trying to drag Pudgy down with them. Pudgy ran one of the biggest airdrops this space has seen. People were sitting on $100k+ per penguin at the top. Toys in Walmart and Target. Real shelves, real sales. Not Twitter hype. Blame Luca if you want. But this community is bigger than one decision, and wishing it to zero tells us who you are. Farm it, dump it, call the founder and team scammers, move to the next one. The door’s open. Nobody’s making you stay. Bullish on penguins. 🐧🐧🐧 Appreciate all your thoughts on this @akylles @cyrotrading @andygamblor @Rubiks_Gus @BitBullVault @lokithebird @beausecurity @BrightAvian @BL3_ED @PenguBundy @Pudgy_XD @Bokah787

I guess nobody knows the full story and nobodys gonna tell you the dirty secret of how Quants killed Abstract TGE Every role had its own code of conduct. Quants were supposed to motivate people, keep the community’s spirits up, set the pace, and drive the whole movement forward They were the engine of Abstract. The opinion leaders. The people who were supposed to lead by example But somewhere along the way, everything went wrong, and everyone seemed to forget what their role was actually about Whenever big influencers or well-known builders posted about Abstract and asked about the community atmosphere Quants would rush into the comments saying everything was going to shit Many Quants also allowed disrespectful comments under posts from people who were genuinely interested in joining Abstract and building here. Those people saw Abstract as a great place to start, but the negativity they encountered sent the opposite message So yeah thank those Quants who acted like complete idiots and helped create this atmosphere I personally called for stricter measures and penalties against people who actively worked against Abstract, including removing their Quant role. And I wasn’t the only one. Other community members repeatedly asked for certain Quants to be removed because of their negative behavior and the damage they were doing to the ecosystem But nothing happened I genuinely believe that just six months ago, Abstract still had a real shot at launching its TGE or at least postponing it until 2027 Instead, we ended up with a toxic atmosphere that may have had serious consequences for the entire ecosystem Believers deserve to know the truth

So yeah… I lost 10-15 followers from different countries (Turkey, CIS, Korea) over the last 3 days just for supporting Abstract Unfollow me another 15 people.. I don’t give a fuck At least Luca Netz has the balls to admit his mistakes. More courage than most of you will ever have You fucking jackals and savages came here just for the airdrop, and now you’ve shown your true colors Fuck you - you hypocritical internet warriors Berko was right. You didn’t deserve a single mention or any compensation in the first place

Back in early August I gave Abstract 30 ideas - days to bring activity back.. I genuinely thought these were great ideas and I understood Abstract pretty well at the time No "we need millions of dollars" stuff. Just simple actions, better communication and incentives to make people come back every day Maybe some of these ideas can be useful for other projects or for building a strong community 1. Every new project launching on Abstract should get a quick badge 2. Cygaar is a community favorite - bring him back to posting on X, even just 1–2 times a week 3. SuperTrip should start getting XP immediately 4. Create an Abstract Hall of Fame for successful builders. Give each one a short story about their success and their project: Skarly, Dith, Benz, AlexMaze, Guavaguy, Tollan, Dealers, etc 5. Whenever possible, have each builder do a big briefing about Web3, share their ideas, or publish a deep dive about their project 6. We need clear info about the tiers and WHY it matters to move from Gold to Platinum. Give people motivation like in sports - more XP, perks, status, respect, etc. Put this directly on the Portal because a lot of people simply don't understand why they should keep pushing after reaching one tier 7. Exclusive drops and events for Platinum+ 8. Surprise drops with no announcement. Unpredictable rewards create a habit of checking the Portal every day - "just in case" 9. We should have dedicated "searchers" - there are lots of talented people who know almost every interesting project in crypto. Give them a role focused on finding and bringing those projects to Abstract 10. Introduce an incentive system for bringing successful projects to Abstract - for example, 100k–500k XP 11. Add referral links and reward them with XP too 12. Add on-chain competitions directly on the Portal, so every project/game can randomly give away in-game items 13. Add weekly on-chain giveaways on the Portal - randomly selected wallets win $1–$10 14. We need the FIRST major use case for XP. People need to see why XP actually matters 15. Bring back XP for active trading and NFT holding 16. For tokens, set clear volume requirements. For NFTs, reward holding + participation in games when applicable 17. If there are no games, give developers simple tools/templates to build small ones 18. Encourage game developers to run more weekly tournaments with prize pools. This is currently one of the strongest engagement models 19. Team / city / country competitions - more tournaments and group battles 20. Every Quantum member should mentor at least one Builder and help grow valuable talent inside the ecosystem 21. Add an "Abstract loyalty/activity" score to the Portal and connect it to X. If people can see their score dropping, they have a reason to stay active and post 22. Push the AI narrative harder and add community-built AI projects to the Portal with a "for exploration" label 23. If developer grant programs aren't possible, at least run regular competitions 24. Add a creative corner where people can share music, videos, memes, art, etc. Reward the best ones with XP or other prizes 25. NFT and token projects should be pushed to promote their own assets more. Integrate them into games and the ecosystem with a clear reason to hold/use them 26. We need someone who consistently interviews different members of the community and tells their stories 27. Add real "Community Decisions" - votes where the community actually decides what gets built or added to the ecosystem next 28. Partner with recognizable streamers and bring Abstract into mainstream content " Twitch, YouTube, gaming/tech creators 29. Talk to every project making money on Abstract - Digitoys, Ultraman, Gacha and others and ask them to give something back to the community, whether through rewards, giveaways or other transparent ways 30. Officially announce who the mascot of Abstract actually is. WHO is the character?!

Full focus back on Penguins… Love that this team swings big and experiments. Not everything is going to work out and that's just what building looks like. The alternative is a team too scared to try anything. But knowing when to call it and consolidate everything behind what's actually working takes discipline. Penguins are at an inflection point. Retail expanding, revenue scaling. Pointing every resource and every person at that is exactly what should be happening right now. Some prob won’t see it this way, but this is the right call 🐧
Abstract is winding down. Starting today, all of @IglooInc's focus will go towards taking Pudgy Penguins, Pudgy NFTs, and $PENGU to the next level. When we acquired Frame in the summer of 2024, the vision was to build the blockchain for consumer crypto. Pudgy Penguins had shown us what it meant to reach the masses, and we believed we could bring that same approach to building a chain. Abstract achieved a lot in a short period of time; we built the Portal and AGW, onboarded major global brands, amassed over 300 million transactions, and grew a vibrant onchain ecosystem.  The journey became stifled by the lack of a DeFi ecosystem, insufficient liquidity, minimal institutional cross-over, and prohibitively high costs that impeded growth in winning areas. Unknown to most, Igloo, Inc. had been funding Abstract over the last 18 months. After losing tens of millions of dollars over two years, building consumer products, assembling an all-star team, onboarding some of the biggest brands in the world, and building a community of millions, we still had not found product-market fit. In combination with the market's reduced appetite for what we had built and not being able to find a scalable path forward, we could no longer justify taking from the Pudgy Penguins business. Igloo, Inc. has always been a community-first company. Even after losing 8 figures, we could have launched a token or pursued an ICO. Ultimately we decided against this. A token only works if there is something driving demand to it, and launching a token that we don’t have conviction in would have been a disservice to our community. The entire team at Abstract has worked tirelessly with a tremendous amount of passion to make the consumer crypto vision come true. I cannot fault a single one of them for this outcome. To the Abstract community, I want to thank all of you for sticking by our side on this long journey and for continuing to champion us. You supported us through all of the ups and downs, and I wish the result could have been different. There will be many that will find satisfaction in seeing this shut down, and that is fine. I take a great amount of pride in having the ambition to venture into the chain business, notoriously one of the most difficult to make work, and the only regret I have is not being able to celebrate a win alongside the Abstract community. As we wind down Abstract, our full focus shifts to making Pudgy Penguins into the global & cultural phenomenon I know it can become.  Return to Pudgy Penguins.

I’m extremely sad to announce that Abstract is shutting down. When we were just a three-person team building Frame I never could have imagined the two and half year journey I was about to embark on. From the tireless nights preparing for launch, to mainnet going live in January 2025, and everything in between, this journey is one I will treasure for the rest of my life. Even though the outcome is not what we wanted, I am incredibly proud of everything we built at Abstract. The Portal and Abstract Global Wallet made interacting with a blockchain feel seamless. That foundation led to a wave of unique apps, novel onchain experiences, and, most importantly, an incredibly passionate community that gave Abstract an identity and culture of its own. But the truth is that the industry has changed significantly since the idea was first conceived in the summer of 2024, and Abstract was facing difficulties with our DeFi Ecosystem and liquidity on the chain. We reached a crossroads of experiencing significant growth, but not having cemented product-market-fit,and that was becoming an issue from a business sustainability perspective. A very difficult decision needed to be made. Abstract’s growth had stalled and the chain was simply not economically sustainable anymore despite our best efforts. I am extremely grateful to the Igloo, Inc team who truly gave it their all to explore every angle and make Abstract work. I want to take this time to thank the incredibly talented team I had the pleasure of working with over the last three years. Every single one of them poured their heart and soul into Abstract and together we created something truly special that pushed forward what onchain discovery and experiences could look like. It is the best team that I have ever worked with. I will always be proud of that. I want to thank all of our partners and builders that worked with us to make Abstract such a unique, special place. Truly some of the most talented developers launched on Abstract and I know you will all kill it in your next chapter. Most of all I want to thank the Abstract community for the support over these three years. I know there have been moments of frustration, but your passion and admiration for Abstract are what made it so special and helped create a culture that is incredibly rare in crypto. I truly wish this could have worked out for all of us. Thank you for supporting the green chain ✳️
