One very important, yet least recognized, trait of intelligent people, especially those with both mental and emotional intelligence, is that they are able to share truths about this world and life in an inspiring and positive way, no matter how hard those truths are. They do not trigger or provoke other people, because they simply do not have to do so to achieve their goals. They know and understand that each person they talk with needs to hear slightly different words to understand the same thing and form a healthy approach to it, so their attitude is not to fight them with force or triggers, but to gently enrich their way of thinking using the patterns they already know and accept. If a person is intelligent enough, they can form a strategy that drains neither side and benefits everyone in the short and long run, leading to gentle growth, not a triggered rollercoaster which results are usually more negative than positive. And that is simply because intelligent people are able to connect many things and approaches, finding a so-called golden middle. It is the same as with equations in maths. If you show a child an equation with addition placed under a square root, the child will not take the square root into account, because they do not know it. They will just do the addition, assuming the square root is some kind of mistake. At the same time, an older student will do the addition, then take the square root, and the solution they present will be far more correct than the child's solution. A child is also less emotionally intelligent than the older student, so there is a very high probability the child will go to that student and try to argue that there is a mistake in the task, trying to prove they are right by force (triggers, provoking). The older student, who possesses basic compassion, will try to explain the square root to the child, starting with multiplication that the child knows, then moving on to powers, explaining that it is a multiplication of the same numbers, and finally explaining that the square root is the inverse of such multiplication. This way, using no force, the older student will teach the child why the task is correct and why their answer was not right. Summing up, a truly intelligent person is able to both help us grow and learn what we need to learn, and make us feel positive while that happens, without any unnecessary provocation or triggering. That is simply because their truth follows the rules of logic that can be explained step by step. These people do not give us the whole hard truth and repeat it until we accept it, but present that truth step by step, piece by piece, starting with what we can accept at the place we are in. Intelligence, in its very essence, is the ability to foresee changes, and the same goes for compassion. Basically, an intelligent person can be recognized by their compassion. Both these traits have the power to stop wars and other great conflicts if they are possessed by a sufficiently large number of people in high enough positions. That is why I believe we should pay attention to whom we choose and accept into these positions. If these are only people who operate based on triggers and provocation (mental and emotional children), they are not intelligent people, but people who try to show off, build their image, get popular, or feed their ego. They are not striving for the truth and the good of us all, and that is why they are not, have never been, and will never be the ones who should lead us. 🫂🤍
