I'm so curious to know what the data looks like for X in regards to "rate of app deletions immediately after Apple's weekly screen time notification is sent" because I know it just motivated me to delete this app off my phone and use desktop only for the next little bit.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know

Never have I felt so vindicated for spamming WeWantDestiny3 into Playstation chats and replies, we made our voices heard and we are so back.
GUARDIANS MAKE THEIR OWN FATE
Genuinely unbelievable. Unprecedented. What a whirlwind. I'm so happy.

Sydney Sweeney is the funniest stress test feminism has ever encountered bc I was taught that tHE PaTriArChY reduces women to their bodies, denies them individual agency and imposes rules on female sexuality based on what everyone else thinks women ought to be. Meanwhile Sydney is independently wealthy, produces her own projects, owns businesses, chooses to monetize her own sexuality, gains power from doing it and appears completely uninterested in anyone’s permission. And somehow the feminist response is thousands of women materializing to explain that her body is AcksHuAllY a collective political resource and she has a responsibility to use it in ways they approve of bc otherwise she’s “setting women back 100 years” (fucking LOL)
So congratulations ladies! You defeated the patriarchy by becoming an enormous decentralized committee of women policing another woman’s sexuality, scolding her for appealing to men and reminding her that her individual choices must remain subordinate to what is best for Women As A Class.
Perhaps the funniest part is that the men supposedly enforcing this grand patriarchal system are mostly standing off to the side like “Sydney seems great, let her cook” while the Feminist Liberation Committee is furiously drafting new regulations for what she’s allowed to do with her own gigantic knockers.
Incredible operation. You guys are fucking killing it. Extremely boss babe. Very liberation. No notes.

We are publicly asking @SeattlePD and @GovBobFerguson to consider reopening the Kurt Cobain case.
In 1994, authorities publicly characterized Cobain’s death as self-inflicted before a full forensic analysis could be completed.
In 2005, then-SPD Chief Gil Kerlikowske asked former Capt. Neil Low to audit the case. Low was given full access to the case file and concluded the evidence pointed to a homicide and that the case should be reopened.
In 2025, a multidisciplinary team published a peer-reviewed study in the International Journal of Forensic Sciences concluding that its analysis of the publicly available evidence was inconsistent with a self-inflicted death and supported homicide.
We believe Kurt Cobain’s death deserves to be investigated as a potential homicide, without beginning from the preconceived assumption that it was self-inflicted. Whoever was responsible could be walking free to this day.
For those who want to examine the evidence for themselves, see our full investigation here: youtube.com/watch?v=Osb9eF2R…
I read a lot of articles. If I quote tweet one, it means I want to be able to find it again quickly, having it on near immediate recall. That means it’s very much worth reading.

harpers.org/archive/2026/07/… You may have come across this already. Fairly extraordinary piece of writing imo.
Everyone coming out of the theater told me the Super Mario Galaxy movie was terrible, but I’ve since watched it twice with my kids at home and I’m failing to see what makes it terrible? The absolute worst thing that could be said about it is that Rosalina is reduced to a plot device when she should’ve been a fleshed out character. Outside of that, there was -incredible- animation, cool, creative fight scenes, genuinely funny moments, and tons of Mario history/lore woven throughout.
Between the outages last week and the 30 min initialization step on deploy today, I'm starting to second-guess my decision to deploy with @Railway
Introducing Starbase, Louisiana – a high-cadence launch site that will enable Starship to open a pathway to the stars for humanity.
Thank you to @LAGovJeffLandry and the great people of Louisiana for all of their support as we work together on this audacious project → spacex.com/sites/starbase-la

Does anyone else get notified every single time they leave work to go to lunch that they’ve left their laptop behind? I’m assuming this is a setting I can turn off but I’d like to be notified if I did leave it somewhere I shouldn’t have; do we have the ability to whitelist certain addresses?
Gotta say, the new Tesla software update where I get yelled at to “Pay attention to the road” while answering the unskippable “why did you cancel FSD?” popup feels like a consumer-hostile design choice. Either revert that popup back to being temporary or chill on the attention warnings.
Very worthwhile way to spend 10 minutes
This might be the most beautiful thing I've read in my life. What a privilege to be alive in 2026.

Blizzard was a game developer that was so popular that they used to have their own annual ComicCon style convention where fans from all over the world would come to meet the developers of their favorite games and learn what new stuff was coming.
Then, an unhappy faction who didn’t like the “frat house” atmosphere made a bunch of largely false allegations at the height of #MeToo. Lawyers were brought in to investigate, and they found email chains discussing the “Cosby Suite,” which was the hospitality suite at the convention hotel that Blizzard developers named for its carpets that looked like a Bill Cosby sweater.
These emails were from years before Cosby’s sexual assault conviction, but they were considered damning at the time and it was insinuated in the media that the men on the email chain were committing rape in the “Cosby Suite,” entirely because of the name.
Everyone on the email chain — men who had worked at Blizzard for decades and built the Warcraft, Diablo and StarCraft franchises — were fired in disgrace over this.
Alex Afrasiabi had his name stripped out of World of Warcraft. An Overwatch character named after veteran Blizzard developer Jesse McCree was renamed in the game. These guys did absolutely nothing wrong except joke with their friends in emails they never expected to be exposed as part of a witch hunt.
In the wake of the mass firings of veterans game designers, the entire culture of Blizzard changed as an institution, and the games changed too — for the worse. “World of Warcraft” became a cozy fantasy coffee shop game. “Overwatch” became a gay pride game. Nobody would go to a convention these days to celebrate these games or the people who now work on them.
The false sexual assault allegations were a pretense for a crowd of disgruntled nonbinary weirdos to seize the greatest game studio in the United States, but without the people they purged and replaced, they could not uphold Blizzard’s once legendary standard of quality and the studio collapsed into irrelevance.
When you see gamers celebrating mass layoffs at game studios, it is because things like this happened across the gaming industry. The hobby was conquered and transformed by people who believed gaming needed to change. But they changed it into something nobody wants to pay for, and now they’re all losing their jobs.
Jason Schreier has pushed back against claims that Blizzard’s workplace misconduct allegations were “made up,” saying the reality is far more complicated
According to Schreier, the 2023 California settlement (which stated that no court or independent investigation substantiated claims of systemic or widespread sexual harassment) has been widely misrepresented as proof that nothing happened.
He says both things can be true: the original California lawsuit contained inaccuracies and exaggerated claims, while many women reported real experiences of harassment, discrimination, unequal pay, and ignored complaints.
Schreier based his reporting on interviews with around 50 current and former Blizzard employees
He says that Blizzard’s workplace culture varied between teams and over time, making the situation more nuanced than a simple true-or-false narrative.
