If your enjoyment of a game is threatened by strangers criticizing it, the problem isn't their opinions.
I thought I’d be addicted to Gears forever. Turns out all it took to quit was @CoalitionGears making one this bad 🙏
The first Gears video I was truly proud of.
I tagged way too many ppl bc I was new to this app and didn’t know any better 😂
The proper way to play alternate in GoW 4. Any retweets are much appreciated! @J_Ribs @ChrisAndres305 @PassifiedWorks @Technically730 @SendItSupers @Jackal_Tenebris @TheRealApeKing @AvenguRs_ @_Affectings @L0GIC__ @Munch6God @Polarisgaming_ @EsportsGears
I’d love to hear someone at TC publicly defend this.
If this is actually a 1 shot from here, what’s it supposed to add to the fight?
This is why the lack of real public back-and-forth about multiplayer is so frustrating. We all have a pretty good idea what their philosophy is. I’d just like to hear TC say it plainly and explain why they think it makes the game better.

This is what I mean by nerfed, this is NEVER a 1 shot. The locust isn't even looking in the right direction but somehow just bodies my friend who sent me this clip.
And if this is desync/server nonsense and the intended 1 shot range isn’t actually this far, fine. My larger point still stands.
Intended, bugged, desync, whatever. This is exactly the kind of specific multiplayer issue I wish we had someone at TC publicly talking to the community about instead of everyone having to guess.
If wallbouncing kept you out of PvP for almost 20 years, you know exactly what it’s like when Gears PvP isn’t what you want. That’s why “you can always play Gears 5” is such a cold answer to the people on the other side of that now. The lack of empathy there is honestly bizarre to me.
Many of us spent those years loving and mastering Gears PvP, making content and building a community around it. Now the game has moved in the direction you wanted, and your answer to the people who miss what they loved is to go play an older one?

You had your wallbounce fest for twenty fucking years, and people like me avoided PVP all this time because of it. Let us have one game without it, you can always play Gears 5.
One thing I hate about Gears discourse is how every bad direction eventually gets blamed on some group of players. “TC catered to the pros,” “casuals complained,” whatever. Which pros? The competitive scene never had one unified vision for what Gears should be, and I don’t know anyone at that level who thought Gears 5 was made for them.
TC made the game. They chose what feedback to listen to, what to ignore, and how to implement it. If your defense is that the community pressured them into bad decisions, you’re still describing TC making bad decisions.
“If Gears really isn't being made for us anymore, somebody else should make the game that is.”
That’s me accepting the possibility that Gears might not be for us anymore, not asking E-Day to cater to me. You read the concession as the demand. Wtf??
Pls give your head a shake.

I can't believe youre doing more harm than good because you want the game to cater to you instead of looking at the future of the franchise... Thank GOD you don't develop games because they would flop just go play fuckin gears 5. Enjoy bro
If Gears really isn’t being made for us anymore, somebody else should make the game that is.
Gears has always felt like the fighting game of shooters to me. Shotgun duels where movement around cover creates openings, baits reactions, and punishes bad reads. I want those same kinds of mind games and a high mechanical skill ceiling you can chase for years.
I’ve never found that combination anywhere else.
Nothing exposes a player faster than mistaking a skill ceiling they couldn’t reach for a mechanic that didn’t matter.
