West Ashley Greenway closed between Coburg Rd. and Farmfield Ave. due to sewer main break. Public should avoid nearby marsh and waterways as shown on the map until testing confirms bacteria levels have returned to normal safe levels. Volume of release and advisory duration TBD.

150-200 customers in N. Charleston to have a temp. water outage expected to last for a few hours due to water service line replacement work on these streets (see map):

- Spruill Ave.
- Baxter St.
- Token St.
- Norwood St.
- English St.
- Redwood St.
Plan Ahead | Future Greenway Closure
As part of the WASTE project, we'll be testing new force mains along the Greenway in West Ashley on Sept. 28 - Oct. 9.
During this time, the Greenway will be closed for pedestrian traffic between Arlington Dr. and Stinson Dr.

Effective January 1, 2026, Charleston Water System is no longer the billing agent for city of Charleston stormwater fees. Customers with a City stormwater balance will no longer see that on their CWS bill. The debt has been moved to the City for collection.
