Obama now denies the carefully documented reality that Jews have maintained a presence in their homeland for thousands of years. Some of those pesky Jews stayed glued to their homeland persistently. And the Jews who came back home from Europe PAID FOR THE LAND they purchased from the Ottomans, who were the landowners when the Jews moved back home. Check the land records. Facts matter. The “Palestinians” are a loose group of various Arabs, many of whom are there because their grandparents migrated to the region for work. They were not Ottoman Turks and did not own the land on which Jews live today. The very few who did own land but abandoned it in favor of war against the Jewish state in 1948 relinquished their rights to the land with the WAR THEY WAGED. That’s the price of starting a war. So no, Obama isn’t right that Arabs “just want their land back.” It’s not theirs by any stretch of the imagination. And while we’re at it, let’s discuss how Arabs came to the region in the first place. It’s that conquest and colonialism thing that Obama appears to frown on when white people do it. But I digress.
