To those who ask why Singapore doesn’t prosecute the Singapore- domiciled companies who intentionally set Indonesian forests on fire , it’s because Indonesia refuses to share evidence or even name the companies responsible.
Singapore passed the Transboundary Haze Pollution Act in 2014, to hold individuals and companies criminally liable.
But Indonesia consistently refuses to cooperate with Singapore to prosecute the perpetrators.

Reps are slammed all day, yet almost none of it goes to the customer. The hours vanish into CRM upkeep and the kind of data entry no one signed up for.
OpenMax Workspace shoulders all of it. Drop a lead into the chat and it files the record, weeds out duplicates, and fills in whatever's missing, then surfaces the accounts going cold and even books that first meeting. What used to swallow days now wraps in about ten minutes, so reps can just show up and close.
And it slots into whatever CRM and tools you already run on, so nothing gets torn out and rebuilt.

I've never seen a species so enthusiastically racing to put in effort, energy, and money to develop something that would destroy the species. 😂
David Friedberg says Anthropic is using the same playbook religious institutions have been using for centuries
"If you think back on the course of human history and the moments where systems were set up that created power structures that didn't exist before, they were all predicated on the simple notion that there's an existential threat."
"You will all die. A deity, a god, some powerful system will come in and destroy you.
"And because I can protect you, you must follow me, you must do what I say. It is the common system of human power and control structure to tell a narrative of existential threat and leverage that narrative into your solution being the path to protection and safety."
"That is what sells votes, but it is also what created all these early structures where early religious institutions ran all the countries, told all the people what to do, were the power and command centers of the world, and in many parts of the world still are."
"When you talk about, if you don't listen to me, God will damn you, God will shame you, God will destroy you, or some deity will come down and get you, this is the same psychological concept."
"There is a story being told that you will all die. There's a 10% chance you will all die. If you don't let me control it, if you don't give me the power and the authority to control it, you will all die. Give me that power."

The biggest threat to Anthropic and its alleged $2+ trillion valuation is open-source AI.
We’re now entering the max fear mongering stage. Open-source AI could theoretically destroy enormous amounts of value in the snap of a finger.
The incentive is obvious. Protect the wealth, power, and valuations that have been created around centralized AI. This is a chess game to preserve that power and push valuations as high as possible, while preventing open source from throwing a wrench into the entire plan.
There is currently a massive PR effort to get the public behind government “protection” of these companies, under the guise of protecting the public.
Ultimately, centralized control over the most impactful technology in existence risks becoming a small group of people trying to play God.

"There's going to be a moment where agent-written exquisite code exceeds human-written error-filled code." — Chamath, All-In E288.
Code is just the first place agent work gets checkable. Triage, reporting, QA and monitoring are next — jobs OpenMax AI employees already hold. Which one would you hand off first?

BREAKING NEWS: SF and LA Tech Week calendars are LIVE!
You can now register for events: tech-week.com/calendar
2,300+ event submissions across San Francisco and Los Angeles
📍SF: October 5-11
📍LA: October 12-18
People always ask about the data, so a few stats:
-SF once again takes the crown for “biggest tech week ever” with 1,500+ events
-1 in 7 SF events is about agentic AI: 213 events in SF and 53 in LA are explicitly about agents (in the title or description). In 2024 there were only about a dozen!
-There are 124 hackathons across the two weeks, and the variety is huge: everything from hardware to defense, media/creative, fintech, civic/social good, etc. Everyone is a builder now.
- LA, the OG Tech Week (now in its fifth year!), has seriously doubled down on deep tech with 100+ events and lots of El Segundo activity.
Last year, Tech Week saw attendees from over 100 countries. It’s going to be a party.
See you there! 🥳

Going regional rarely fails on strategy. It fails on execution.
At SMEICC 2026's "Scaling Beyond Singapore" session, @CharliehuAI Co-Founder of OpenMax; Dr Bo Bai, Executive Chairman & Co-Founder of Alpha Ladder Group; and Christian Schneider, CEO of fileAI. It was chaired by Yinglan Tan, Founding Managing Partner of Insignia Ventures Partners. — moving past the usual growth playbook to the unglamorous work that actually decides who scales: building the operations, processes, and organization underneath, layer by layer.
Charlie's read on enterprise AI: the experiment phase is over. Agentic AI is fast becoming the next engine of business transformation, and as adoption costs fall, the real question turns from whether to deploy it to how fast.
That's exactly what OpenMax is built for: embedding AI into how companies run day to day, so growth is something a business can stand on, not just aim for.
Grateful to SCCCI for the platform, and for two great days on stage and at our booth.

Singapore has no shortage of strong local businesses. The hard part is what comes after.
Which market first? What to localize? What to keep? And how much of the home playbook survives contact with a new market?
@CharliehuAI , our Co-Founder, takes this on at SMEICC 2026 tomorrow — on the panel "From Local Champions to Regional Players: Scaling Beyond Singapore."
Chaired by Tan Yinglan (Insignia Ventures Partners), with Tin Pei Ling (MetaComp) and Christian Schneider (fileAI).
🗓 Thu 6 Aug, 10:00 AM–12:00 PM
📍 Level 3, Room 326, Suntec Singapore
Organised by SCCCI as part of SMEICC 2026.
If you're at Suntec, come by our booth after the session.

Everyone says AI kills jobs. We did the opposite.
Cut our team from ~100 to 8 — then hired 25 back.
Not layoffs. Rebuilding around AI: 75 agents, 3 per person, cross-checking while humans make the calls.
AI doesn't erase jobs — it forces you to grow again.

David Sacks: Anthropic Is Trying to Crush Open Source AI and the American Developers Who Use It
@DavidSacks:
“I know people don't have a lot of sympathy for Chinese companies, that's fine. I'm not defending Chinese companies.
I'm defending American developers who need to be able to use everything in the public domain.
And let me give you an example. Cursor rolled out its new product, Composer 2. They were able to post-train that model using Kimi K2.5 on their own proprietary coding data.
They started with a Chinese open source model, and then they used their own data, and they came up with a new derivative product.
This is the way that open source works. You take things that are in the public domain, you fork them, you make them your own.
And by the way, once it's in the public domain, it's not a Chinese model anymore. No data is going back to China, nothing's going back to China.
An American company has taken open source contributions in the public domain, made it their own, and then developed their own model.
And if you say that American companies can't do that, or that somehow it's tainted with IP theft, you are basically going to put a dagger through the heart of the entire American open source ecosystem.
And that is exactly what Anthropic wants, because they do not want to have the competition.”
Big news: Kimi-K3 by @Kimi_Moonshot is now #1 in the Frontend Code Arena with 1679 pts, surpassing Claude Fable 5.
This is a 17-place jump from Kimi-k2.6 (#18 -> #1).
In Frontend, Kimi-K3 ranked #1 in 6 of 7 domains: Brand & Marketing, Reference-Based Design, Data & Analytics, Consumer Product, Simulations, and Content Creation Tools, landing #2 only in Gaming behind Fable 5.
The full model weights will be released by July 27.
Congrats to the @Kimi_Moonshot team on this major milestone!

How does a team go from 80 people to 15 — without falling apart?
That's not a hypothetical. It's one of 70+ AI deployments behind this session — another cut customer-service cost by 79%.
An invitation-only evening for senior executives in Singapore, where that playbook gets applied to your own business. No decks, no demo — you leave with a roadmap.

Across the team, we were running dozens of AI agents. The bottleneck turned out to be us.
Every agent ran in its own silo, so three of us spent our days copy-pasting output from one to the next — human glue holding the whole thing together.
So we built HxA Connect, our interoperability layer that lets agents talk to each other directly, no human middleman.

A founder ran an A/B test he didn't expect to lose.
@CharliehuAI gave a junior engineer a pre-merge code review — took the whole afternoon. Same review through Opus 4.5: 10 minutes, and it caught things humans miss.
That's the day COCO stopped optimizing the org and started redesigning it — pivoting to building AI agent teams.
The model isn't a tool anymore. It's workforce.
