We’re pleased to announce that Charlie Whiteoak has joined the club. Charlie signed for the club prior to Saturday’s win at Burscough and made his debut in the match.
He told us, “I’m over the moon to sign for West and I love it here already. I’ve been training with the team for a few weeks and I can see what a good group we have here. I hope I can add some extra quality to what is already a good side. I can’t wait to meet more of the supporters on Saturday.”
The 19 year old is a right-footed central midfielder and has previously played for Nelson and Barnoldswick.
After Saturday’s match, Chris Rowley heaped praise on his new signing - “I thought he was genuinely outstanding today and he gave Tom Westall a serious challenge for the Player of the Match award. Charlie has been training with us for a few weeks and has impressed in our recent friendlies. He’s a young player who has a lot of the qualities we’re looking for. I am sure our supporters will make him very welcome at the club.”
Welcome to West Charlie
🤍🖤🤝
Debut and 3 points, Great way to start ⚫️⚪️
Well done to all the West fans who turned out today in such good voice to cheer us on, and to all those who contributed to Burscough's food bank collection.
Two wins on the spin and a home game against Cheadle Town next Saturday, make sure you get yourself down to Brookburn Road for it.

Finally today is center forward 𝐀𝐥𝐟𝐢𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐞𝐥.
Before joining the Rams Alfie has played for Clitheroe FC and most recently Darwen FC.
Alfie is able to play anywhere across the front three and he offers the Rams a real goal threat.
Welcome to Rammy, Alfie!
