We’ve cycled the equivalent of Wells to Newcastle and climbed higher than Mont Blanc in six days 🥵

Today is going to be HOT. We’re getting going early and will stop off to cool down in Segovia before tackling the start of the Guadarrama Mountains ⛰️

Day 4: Roa to Fuentidueña 🚴🏻♂️
Today was supposed to be a shorter rest day, but once we arrived we decided to an extra six miles cycling up hill and visit a reservoir.
We then decided we wanted more pedalling and hired a pedalo.
Rested? No. Fun? Absolutely.

After a tricky day climbing mountains, we’re spending a lot of today on an old railway line 🚂

Day 1: Bilbao to Medina de Pomar 🚴🏻♂️
We’re off! Six days and around 500km to go… After a day in Bilbao we’ve definitely taken on plenty of energy for the ride 🍤

Last year, I cycled with a group of friends from London to Paris, raising money for the charity which helped my friend and colleague Emma Britton once she’d been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer.
Tragically, Emma died earlier this year.
This summer I’m raising money for the same charity in her memory.
The route takes us from Bilbao to Madrid, over mountains and through plains. It’ll be the biggest physical challenge I’ve ever done!
