Hal Steinbrenner said he places the blame for the 2026 season outcome on the position players and "the inability to score on a consistent basis throughout the course of the entire season, not on the shoulders of Aaron Boone."

"I'm going to look at all the coaching," Hal Steinbrenner said, but no decisions yet on the staff.
He's spent a lot of time criticizing the #Yankees' offense on this call.

Hal Steinbrenner said he hasn’t discussed a contract extension with Manager Aaron Boone. But Hal has also repeatedly said that he believes Boone “did a good job” in 2026.
I would also like to see the media ask them how the #Yankees can avoid the annual summer swoon and be a consistent team all season. These summer swoons are a major factor as to why the Yankees have failed to win the division in each of the last two seasons. #RepBX xitter.cf/CharlieRGa/status/2112…
Here's what I would like to see addressed tomorrow on what improvements that the #Yankees need to make for next season to get them to their ultimate goal of winning a World Series:
Would Aaron Judge have been healthy enough to play in the ALCS or World Series if the Yankees made it past the Rays?
The roster in general.
Addressing comments criticizing the team.
Injury updates.
Potential coaching staff changes.
How do the Yankees catch the Rays and get back to the top of the AL East in 2027?
Improving fundamentals and postseason performance, especially on offense.
And at least several more topics too.
