Owning a home shouldn’t mean facing property tax increases without limits. This November, you can vote FOR requiring limits on local property tax increases and FOR capping North Carolina’s income tax rate at 3.5%. I support both amendments to give taxpayers stronger protections.

For Brunswick and New Hanover Counties, where so many people depend on their vehicles every day, this is about putting money back where it belongs — in the hands of hardworking North Carolinians.

A little relief at the pump can make a real difference for a family commuting to work or a small business trying to keep its doors open. I was proud to support the Relief at the Pump Act, suspending the state motor fuel tax and providing savings to drivers across NC.

Gas prices are out of control. That’s why I’ve formally requested a special #NCGA session to consider state tax relief on gas and diesel. I’m ready to return to Raleigh and work to deliver immediate relief at the pump.

North Carolinians need some relief at the gas pump… @NCSpeakerHall and @SenatorBerger are calling for a special #NCGA session to address rising fuel costs. I support their call and look forward to working to deliver relief for local families, farmers, and small businesses.
