Replying to @CrossCountryUK
@CrossCountryUK Hiya, was meant to be getting the 7:55 from Southampton to York, which is now cancelled. What are my options please as need to get to York asap?
Like is my advanced XC only ticket now valid via London/@LNER services, or do I need to still only take crossvountry services?
Indeed. There used to be only one "rule": "Be conscientious of those around you". Unfortunately people started struggling with that hence having to have dozens of don't do this/that/the others. It wasn't great before, but covid really accelerated the drop in social standards.

You’re playing devils advocate? Cool. I’m playing with my Sylvanian families. This hedgehog owns a windmill.

Oi Keats! Where are bloody mists and mellow fruitfulnesses? No close blossom friend of the maturing sun here, just sweaty me breaking back into my summer wardrobe.
After 13 years the Conservatives have achieved so little, to the point that all they now have to sell are rabid, vile attacks on minorities. I stand with my trans friends, my non-binary friends, my immigrant friends, with all who the government preach hate for votes.
Back touring for the first time in a few months so I'm reliant on a public transport to get city to city. Thus I'm currently scrunched in a ball by an out of use toilet on a packed, delayed @CrossCountryUK service. 4 coaches for a service that links 6 of the UK's biggest cities!
This is a nice suprise! I had a lovely time on Famous Five last year, so it is great to see it getting some recognition.

The worst thing about summer is that I don't like any warm weather music. You can't drive around in convertible blasting a folk song about a coal miner's ghost.
The flat we used to rent just went on the market, and the mortgage is about the same as we were paying for rent... BUT WE WOULD HAVE BEEN AQUIRING AN ASSET INSTEAD OF BUYING SOMETHING FOR OUR LANDLORD. Every month that money would have been saved into the property instead of lost

Other major European cities have a 24/7 public transport network. We, as a very special treat, get an few hours extension from the usual Subway 10am to 6pm Sunday service. And they are stopping the night busses. Sake.

First @SW_Help moved my train departure time forward, then @LNRailway delay me nearly 20 minutes, making my tube connection from Euston to Waterloo a sweaty dash down
& up escalators and via crowded tunnels. Both services full and standing. Not fit for purpose, gang.
Spending 4 days aboard Pilgrim of Brixham was transcendental, I haven't known peace like it. I'm gonna do a longer form bit about it tomorrow. But for now I'm back on the trains, heading North and Eastwards, home to Glasgow. Never travelled first class on @GWRHelp before.
Now to hope for a decent @LNER guard who understands split ticketing. Advance tickets weren't available when using the tube so splitting saved about £250. I made an hour and three minute allowance to get 5 tube stops from Paddington to King's Cross and still wasn't enough. 🙄
Irony meter off the scale her at King's Cross as my new train is delayed exactly the amount of extra time I needed to make my original connection. But atleast the legend that is Rob over at @LNER has got me cleared to take it.
