Victoria’s parking bylaws slash car stalls for new builds.
- Zero required in the Downtown Core and Transit Oriented Areas.
- 50% cut in the five Major Mobility Hubs.
- 30% cut along the Transit Priority Network (Douglas corridor).
- Full exemption for affordable housing and every 3–6 unit building.
❌Cheaper for developers.
✅More housing units.
❌And a lot more cars pushed onto residential streets that were never designed for them.
The spillover is already happening. These bylaws make it bigger.

Victoria’s new parking bylaws (public hearing July 23, 2026, at 6:30 p.m.) slash or eliminate minimum vehicle stalls for new builds—zero in downtown & TOAs, 50% cuts in hubs, full exemptions for affordable & 3-6 unit buildings, plus TDM/cash-in-lieu options.
Result: "cheaper housing", more density… and more cars fighting for space on residential streets. The spillover problem just got bigger. Phase 2 curb management better hurry.

Endorsement for Langford Mayor: Stew Young
In October of 2024 I called Stew Young and asked to meet him for breakfast. I had NEVER met Stew before so I agreed to meet him at the Fountain diner where we had a nice breakfast and cup of coffee.
We - The Simon Keith Foundation - were planning a ‘big’ event in Victoria the following August to raise money for kids who had undergone organ transplants.
I was foolishly courageous and asked for his help. What followed in the next 10 months was astounding.
With little fan fair or personal motivation he quietly worked behind the scenes and mobilized ‘his network’ to support us.
Asking sponsors to support, selling tables and lending his vast credibility to us. For what?
Because we learned first hand, Stew just gets things done. He and his beautiful wife Kayla Ottosen are a powerhouse. With their help we raised $3M for 🇨🇦 kids. (Mind blowing!!)
Remember - I had NEVER met him before but he just said ‘yup, I’ll help’!
Stew to return to Mayor as Langford might be the simplest vote on the ballot. The man is just incredible. Incredible.

SOGI policies in Nanaimo Ladysmith schools were developed (in part) by a local teacher who was later caught trying to pick up a 14 year old boy off of Grindr at a local Tim Hortons in 2023.
This same guy was lecturing us about SOGI 7 years ago when citizens were uncomfortable with it being pushed on students…

Disgusted by recent reports of anti-forestry activists spiking trees on Vancouver Island — an extremist act meant to severely damage forestry equipment that can also seriously injure or even kill loggers and mill workers when their chainsaws or mill saws cut into the wood.
Any such incidents need to be fully investigated and perpetrators punished to the fullest extent of the law.
It is time to stop allowing a small but vocal minority to dictate our resource development policies here in B.C. through sabotage and threats!

Teachers at Gordon Head Middle School in @sd61schools @gvta @bctf unite in a show of solidarity against transphobia, bigotry, racism, and, above all, to show that they are not indoctrinating, nor are they grooming children.
To be clear, these teachers are creating an inclusive, welcoming space and using professional development days to focus on literacy, one of the 3 Rs.
Any politician or critic of SOGI-123, Gender Ideology, and DEI clearly has difficulty reading the word "literacy" in the post, which clearly means the image reflects literacy, not any other topic.
