Russia’s current government is evil.
The Ukraine invasion is awful.
Helping Russia is bad.
Few things are as morally clear as this.

A horrific Russian strike in the Kharkiv region. A “shahed” struck people directly – in a park near an ordinary café. Pure atrocity. Six people were killed, including children. A little girl was killed in a stroller – her name was Angelina, she was just over a year old, born in August 2025… Her mother’s name was Inna. She died in the hospital… Another girl who was killed was 11 years old. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Another 14 people were injured, including six more children.
I am grateful to everyone who supports Ukraine under these circumstances and helps us shoot down “shaheds,” shoot down missiles, and stop Russian assaults. These are horrific photos, but behind them are shattered lives and the truth about this war. Lives must be protected. Ukraine needs air defense. You can't think about making money with Russia as long as it continues its asinine war. We ask that sanctions on Russia stay in place as long as the killings continue. We ask America to be strong, and we ask it to apply the Lindsey Graham law. We ask Europe to continue its support. We ask that everything possible be done to bring peace and guarantee security. Ukraine wants peace. It is Russia that has insisted on continuing the killing all this time. The world has enough strength to stop the war. That strength must finally be used – against the murderers.

The slaughter of Christians in Nigeria is routinely ignored. The crimes committed here cry to heaven for justice.

This morning, a Russian guided bomb struck Good News Church in Kramatorsk, Ukraine, during Sunday morning hours.
Pastor Viktor Pavenko has served this city for more than 35 years. His church runs an important bread ministry for the poor and for people who have no family left to care for them. Our teammate Karl Ahlgren slept in this building a few weeks ago while delivering aid.
By God’s grace, no one was inside or injured in the attack on the church.
Kramatorsk is under heavy bombardment. Ten days ago, a glide bomb hit buses in the city and killed at least 30 people.
🙏 Please pray for Pastor Viktor and his congregation as they work out how to keep feeding their neighbors. Pray for the people of Kramatorsk. And pray for those who launched this bomb, that their hearts would turn (Matthew 5:44).
🤲 Help us tell their story. Share this post.

Yes, ND shouldn’t let it come down to the final call. But that can be said about pretty much every game that goes down to the wire. Those calls still matter. Make the last play of every game a mandatory ref review. #notredame cbssports.com/college-footba…

As some have noted, there was indeed :01 on the bug clock when the pass hit the ground (BYU/ND). Replay should have reviewed to determine if the in-stadium clock was at :01 at that point and if so, ND would have had one more play.

The Florida St offensive holding call was not a foul.
The contact by the BYU defender was defensive pass interference.

JD Vance joins Trump's 24/7 Putin praise tour, heaping compliments onto the Russian dictator that's murdered around 20 Ukrainian children in the past week alone.
What a fucking piece of shit this whole admin is..

Beyond irresponsible. What part of enforcing a law passed 86-11 by the Senate does the President and his advisors not understand? It’s unconscionable that this administration is capitulating to a Russian dictator who illegally invaded Ukraine and butchers innocent civilians every single day. If the President wants to actually bring down energy prices, he can do it by solving the Iran problem, not by doing a solid for Vladimir Putin.

Sanctions relief will continue. I think the diesel deal and the move regarding the Lindsey Graham Act are not the end of it. Unfortunately.
It’s unfortunate because we all had great respect for Lindsey. He devoted his life to America. We had an excellent relationship with him. And shortly before the tragedy, Lindsey was in Ukraine. He always supported us very strongly and pushed for as much assistance to Ukraine as possible.
It’s difficult without him, I’ll be honest. I want to thank both Democrats and Republicans who supported his bill. That was a major victory: this truly bipartisan support. And now, the decision to undo all of this, to block all of it, seems wrong to me. And it definitely helps only the Russians. It only fuels their satisfaction and their desire to keep killing people. This certainly does not stop the war.

This is truly a historic moment. President Trump has indefinitely suspended sanctions against Russia that would have been required in the Graham law. He went against the last request of Lindsey Graham, whom he called his friend. And he handed Putin the opportunity to finance the war against Ukrainians, who are fighting for their freedom.
Trump calls this a "national interest." But diesel prices went up because of his war against Iran and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. So waiving sanctions on Russia does not solve that problem. Instead, it creates another one.
Putin cannot win on the battlefield, so he attacks civilians. Russian missiles and drones are destroying homes, hospitals, schools, and churches. According to the UN, just two weeks of October have been among the deadliest for civilians in Ukraine in recent years.
Forty percent of Russia's budget goes to the war. After Trump's latest decisions, Russia will make record profits. The formula is simple: "Money turns into missiles. Missiles turn into civilian deaths."
Trump is not stopping Russia's war against Ukraine. Trump is helping Putin win it.
As a Nobel Peace Prize laureate, I want to address the people of America, regardless of their political views.
Do you really believe that the killing of millions of people and the loss of Ukraine's independence are in your national interest?
If not, what will you do to stop America from financing the genocide that Putin is waging against Ukrainians with Trump's support?

“At a time when Donald Trump’s party is struggling to hold both houses of Congress and his own approval ratings are cratering to historic lows, the President has been campaigning hard all week against . . . Volodymyr Zelensky,” Susan B. Glasser writes. “Yes, Trump’s October preëlection surprise is that he’s finally decided to begin openly helping Vladimir Putin in Russia’s war of conquest against Ukraine.”
“Trump has pivoted to Putin so many times before that it should hardly astonish anyone that he did it again,” Glasser continues. “But these crises that Trump provokes with such regularity always manage to reveal something new, and this one has been no exception, showing a President so politically cornered by the consequences of his war in the Middle East that he turned to Putin to help him out with less than three weeks to go before the midterm elections.” Read her latest column: newyorkermag.visitlink.me/y7…

Eventually, Putin will tell Trump that handicapping Ukraine and lifting sanctions isn’t enough, and that if he really wants the war to end and get his Nobel, he should sell US intelligence and weapons to Russia. Trump will say yes, and a few GOP will tweet and sign letters.
US Prepares to Ease Sanctions on "Shadow Fleet" Tankers – FT
The administration of Donald Trump is considering easing restrictions on oil tankers belonging to the Russian and Iranian "shadow fleet," the British newspaper Financial Times reports. Measures under discussion reportedly include allowing sanctioned vessels to be sold to "reputable shipowners," as well as lifting sanctions entirely, which would enable these tankers to carry out shipments without any restrictions.
In Washington, it is hoped that these steps will help lower diesel prices ahead of the US midterm elections. Polls within the country suggest that rising fuel prices—driven by the conflict involving Iran—along with inflation, have turned many American voters against Trump.
