Twenty years ago, the world heard New Orleans roar again.
Same Dome. Same Rival. Same Monday night stage.
Let them hear us again ⚜️

how it feels to be extremely self-aware of what you're doing and yet still keep repeating the same self-destructive patterns

The Rich Paul white board needs to be put in the Hall of Fame. It’s wild we are watching an agent publicly breaking down his client’s free agency in full detail for the public with legit transparency. A lot of the content these days from the first parties in the NBA has been trash but this is phenomenal.
Like I said, get all those laughs and jokes out of your system now, cause it’s gonna look real funny soon enough
The Lakers are now pursuing both a wing defender and a backup big man after lining up a Deandre Ayton-to- Washington trade which adds $2 million in financial wiggle room for their summer business, league sources say.

Rob Pelinka is the perfect example of being damned if you do and damned if you don’t.
Yesterday, @Lakers fans were saying he was asleep at the wheel, that he wasn’t aggressive enough, and that the front office had no plan. Less than 24 hours later, the #Lakers reportedly land Walker Kessler, Collin Sexton, Quentin Grimes, and Sandro Mamukelashvili in a flurry of moves that completely reshape the roster around Luka Dončić.
Was the price for Walker Kessler steep? Absolutely. But here’s the reality: when you identify a 24-year-old rim protector who runs the floor, rebounds, blocks shots, and fits perfectly next to Luka, you don’t get him at a discount. Utah had all the leverage, and Pelinka knew that if Kessler was his guy, it was going to cost premium assets. That’s the price of solving your biggest roster need.
The bigger picture matters. This wasn’t about winning the transaction. It was about building a roster that actually fits. Kessler gives Luka the vertical lob threat and defensive anchor he’s at his best with. Sexton brings downhill scoring and toughness. Grimes adds two-way versatility on the wing. Mamukelashvili gives the Lakers another skilled frontcourt player with size and shooting.
Fans wanted urgency. Pelinka showed urgency.
You can debate the cost, but you can’t debate the intent. The Lakers identified their weaknesses and attacked them immediately. That’s what a President of Basketball Operations is supposed to do. Now it’s on the players and coaching staff to make it work.

Here’s LeBron (same age as Wemby) scoring 29 of the Cavs final 30 points, including the game winner to close out a double overtime game on the road in the ECF 2007.
Wemby took the final shot in regulation. No fear.
Shai took the last shot for OKC in regulation. No fear.
Bron would cowardly “make the right play”🤣😂🤣😂which doesn’t involve him taking the final shot.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know

It so funny because all season Lakers been getting shitted on and NO ONE thought Lakers had a chance of winning this series besides Lakers fans but now all of a sudden it’s “the rockets are trash” and the Lakers are lucky. 😭😭😭
