Yesterday, Microsoft actually inserted another Germanium release in the 2605 slot in the Alpha Ring.
So we're at 14 now. Germanium will probably remain the base for the forseable future.
With 2606 yet again based on the Germanium codebase, it will have been the longest running base for Xbox OS on Xbox One and Series, leaping over it's original Windows 8.1-based OS.
Still, Blue has 18 releases, while Germanium with 2606 will have only 13.

Xbox will make another major jump next week (probably) to version 2408, this should match with whatever release the Canary Channel is testing on desktop.
Happy Friday Xbox Insiders - Our approved flight plans for today in PDT are:
[1] 2308 to Alpha at 2:00pm
[2] 2308 to Beta at 4:00pm
This sets us up to move Alpha to 2309 and Alpha Skip to 2408 next week if all looks good.
Relnotes incoming from @xboxinsider
RIP us.
Since we can no longer tweet out builds - automatically at least - we'll now provide you with unsolicited opinions on Windows instead. And also other fun information, etc. @ChangeXbox won't be tweeting anything tho.
