Exactly. The entire process needs to be reclaimed from the clutches of the BJP.
Use EVM + Ballots. Let the two processes confirm the results.
Give VVPAT slips in the hands of the voter so that they can verify their vote is correct and then put it in ballot.
100% VVPAT counting.
Change the process of appointment of election commissioners.
Without strengthening the whole process, Gyanesh's resignation will not achieve anything.

🚨 BREAKING NEWS 🚨
Internet shutdown in central Delhi!
The MHA has approved a temporary suspension of all mobile internet services within a 4-km radius of the Janpath Kartavya Path crossing.
From 10 PM, October 9, to 10 PM, October 10.
This is how all protestors at Jantar Mantar should protect each other in the coming days instead of allowing the police to break them up into small groups. Become an unbreakable mass.
THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT IS REQUIRED. India Alliance marching to Election Commission is just symbolic now, it may not get any results. Judges need to be openly assured that they will not be alone if they stand up to the government. Judiciary needs to be accountable to citizens too.

It’s a proven fact that RG stands with people when they’re fighting for something.🫶🏽
And here he is, standing with them yet again.🫶🏽
Got an issue with the government?
Take it to the streets, raise your voice, fight for it.
There’s a pretty good chance RG will show up and stand with you.
That’s what this Satyagraha is about.
Got a Satyagraha story?

This is true. And yet the opposition parties who have been illegally kept out of power don't start a movement for taking back the Election Commission from the grip of Modi-Shah.
The opposition also refuses to protest against their parties in Delhi as well as the state capitals. They have not faced any consequences yet for being fascist collaborators.
India and the US are constantly copying from each other ways in which they can dismantle democracy to benefit their corrupt leaders.
There just isn't any way to be kind about this.
If you are excited that Donald Trump promised you a $5000 "Trump Dividend " if Republicans win,
even though you were excited about the "DOGE Dividend" that you never got,
and you were excited about the "Tariff Dividend" that you never got,
Then the "dumb as rocks" person that your family keeps whispering about is you.
I said what I said.
Ladies and gentlemen of the MAGA Parallel Universe, there comes a time in every big boy's and big girl's life when you just have to call it, and admit you've been taken for a sucker for the last decade.
You're years past having enough data to arrive at that conclusion.
People who can do such cruelty to others, always do it to their own people too.

The reality of sex trafficking in India is absolutely shocking and horrifying. But the NGO circuit and left of center academics are busy peddling the "respect sex work" propaganda that helps sex traffickers.
Shocking. Yet, tragically, not entirely surprising.
Journalist Sheetal P Singh’s video attempts to expose a horrifying market where, according to the allegations presented, young girls—some reportedly as young as 9–10—are bought, sold and sexually exploited.
The allegations go even further: girls being subjected to hormonal injections, forced pregnancies, and the trafficking of their babies, turning both mother and child into commodities.
And perhaps the most chilling question is this:
How can such a racket allegedly operate openly, even in the vicinity of police stations, unless powerful people are looking the other way—or actively protecting it?
If these allegations are true, this is not merely a crime story.
It is a complete collapse of policing, administration and political accountability.
Children are not commodities.
Women are not commodities.
Babies are not commodities.
Every allegation of a network involving traffickers, officials or political figures must be independently and ruthlessly investigated, and those responsible—regardless of their position or connections—must face the full force of the law.
A society that can look away while children are bought, abused, impregnated and traded has lost its moral compass.

@Sheeetalps
Does NOBODY understand that there is no point in any movement or protest unless the Election Commission is taken out of the grip of the BJP?! Without that mass movement, nothing else will work in the end.
If the BJP-controlled speaker does disqualify them, won't it be so that the BJP-controlled ECI can make BJP candidates win to take the vacated seats? Is this the right time for this battle or are we giving the BJP exactly what it wants?
BIG. A BREAKTHROUGH. 20 traitor MPs at last get a notice from @loksabhaspeaker to answer within 7 days the disqualification petition moved against them by @abhishekaitc . Significant that after sitting on the disqualification petition for TWO MONTHS the Speaker has finally been forced to act after the Supreme Court intervention yesterday . But the notice is only a first step. The disqualification of 20 traitors for their brazen violation of the Constitution is imperative . It’s not just about one party. It’s about protecting the Constitution.
VPNs as Tools for Breaking the Law
The Indian government keeps expanding its powers to arbitrarily take down or restrict access to content on the internet. But it has no coherent answer to a basic enforcement problem: unless the flagged content is deleted, anyone can bypass such measures with a VPN.
Sure, this is good for free speech and the freedom of expression. But if something is genuinely illegal, what happens when enforcement can be defeated by simply downloading a free VPN and routing through another country?
India does regulate VPN providers to an extent, but still lacks a clear policy for VPN-enabled circumvention of the law by users.
Any serious conversation about what such a policy could look like is difficult because the debate is increasingly divided between free-speech advocates who see any calls to regulate VPNs as government overreach, and those who enthusiastically support the government having sweeping powers to suppress dissent and muzzle citizens, political opponents, and civil society.
What this has done is that any conversation about regulating the internet and what all is passing off as "content" does not lead to any meaningful conclusions that can be implemented sustainably. Because any measure can be made redundant by using a VPN.
Surely, there must be a way to resolve this impasse with existing technology.
Congress can multiply the effect of what happened with the Parliament Street FIR by sending party workers and leaders with affected women/individuals to police stations and make sure FIRs are filed in every deserving case across the country.
On average, around 1,200 FIRs are registered every day based on complaints by women.
But even this is only a fraction of what women endure, as much of it never reaches an FIR register because of social stigma and shame.
The same silencing is visible on digital platforms: RW goons troll women, issue rape threats, and so-called journalists bully them for questioning the government.
The aim is to intimidate and exhaust women until they give up and retreat behind the four walls of their homes.
But India can never realise its full potential until Indian women receive their equal share in society.
And India’s Leader, Shri Rahul Gandhi, understands this. That is why he will be in Pune today for a special outreach with young women and girls - to listen to them, to understand them, and to envision a better future with them.
Warning: Adult content.
All manner of disgusting and disturbing stuff is being circulated openly on these Reddit pages. By no means can this be dismissed as "just consensual actions between consenting adults in the privacy of their bedroom". Yet the government does not act to take this filth down.

India has a pornography problem.
But the Modi government has never articulated a clear policy on pornography. The government's response has largely been a series of random, disconnected takedown orders.
Since 2014, it has sporadically blocked porn websites, taken down apps and accounts, and directed platforms to remove explicit content. But these actions remain fragmented and reactive rather than a coherent national policy.
There is no clear direction, no sustained public debate, no comprehensive framework, and no serious attempt to address pornography's relationship with sexual exploitation, misogyny, and rape culture.
Yessss please, we need much more of this @rahulgandhi than press conference Rahul Gandhi.
Why doesn't India have an anti-porn movement?
Probably the most mainstream discourse against pornography in India comes from the "no-fap" online forums and clickbait content. This is largely, if not exclusively, driven by misguided notions from the toxic manosphere. Even conservative/right-wing parties and their ecosystems do not have an organised movement against pornography, which is probably for the best, considering their puritanical and regressive ideas.
But there is, regrettably, a complete lack of an organised, nationwide, non-puritanical movement against pornography that is not based on moral policing. Even though many people in India are familiar with radical feminist and/or radical queer theory's opposition to the pornography industry, no local campaign or movement against it has taken off. The usual response from liberals, centrists, and leftists is that the state should not be allowed to censor citizens, so best look the other way on this issue, if not mounting a spirited defence of pornography.
Strange and unacceptable, considering pornography's direct and obvious relationship to the rampant rape culture in this country.
Mark Zuckerberg @finkd is an unforgivable psychopathic creep and his company needs to be fined out of existence.
"You just can't trust Mark Zuckerberg with kids"
Arturo Béjar, a former Meta engineering director,
under oath in US federal court yesterday.
Béjar testified that Meta had technology to flag accounts suspected of belonging to children under 13 and require age verification, but operated a "don't ask, don't tell" policy instead. He told the jury, "where the youngest kids are is where the users are going to be in the future".
Meta's own internal studies reviewed by Béjar found minors on Instagram were shown content from sexual predators and graphic violence, with its recommendation system actively surfacing predator content. Béjar sent survey data on these harms to Zuckerberg, Sheryl Sandberg and Adam Mosseri, but nothing changed. After he presented it to a US Senate subcommittee in 2023, senators concluded Meta withheld the findings from Congress while publishing misleading statistics.
Frances Haugen is another Meta whistleblower who leaked internal documents showing Meta knew Instagram harmed teenage girls in 2021. This is a systemic problem that's well documented and proven time and time again. Yet, Zuckerberg called her claims untrue and said Meta constantly used research to improve its products.
Béjar, who briefed Zuckerberg roughly 100 times, told the jury every part of Zuckerberg's denial was false: Zuckerberg had the research and changes only happened on his order. Employees were rewarded on engagement numbers and the culture Zuckerberg created made it practically impossible to deliver safety features.
He said Meta replaced "addiction" with "problematic use" in its research so studies no longer described children as addicted. He also said Meta's "take a break" feature was "designed to fail" because it's off by default and easy to ignore.
Béjar is the first witness in a 6 week Oakland trial where California, Colorado, Kentucky and New Jersey accuse Meta of designing Facebook and Instagram to addict children and lying about their safety. 25 more states accuse Meta of illegally collecting data from children under 13 without parental consent.
Under cross examination, Béjar accepted Meta employs hundreds of safety staff, but senior safety leaders at Meta told me their teams were gutted, leaving virtually nobody to do the work and barely enough time for toilet breaks.
Béjar has testified in 3 Meta trials over harm to children, but the company faces thousands of similar lawsuits. The New Mexico case ended in $942M in damages and penalties. That's so small it's just a line item inside a spreadsheet. If executives can be proven to have intentionally caused grievous harm to children, they should face criminal prosecution and prison, not a slap on the wrist.
I've spoken with 3 Meta whistleblowers myself: one in my comments, one who thanked me for tagging him, and another who's suing Meta. Every account of Zuckerberg matches what Béjar said under oath.

What in the actual hell, @PCITweets?! Many fancy nancies of the South Delhi journalist circuit like @nit_set and @MnshaP were throwing their weight behind @sangbarooahpish before her election, saying it would be good for the organisation. What is this then?
They issued a clarification:
xitter.cf/PCITweets/status/20903…
The Press Club of India has noticed that a photo/video of an event held at its premises earlier today, is circulating on social media.
It is hereby #clarified that the Club had not organised the event.
The hall was hired for the purpose of holding a press conference by an organization but when terms for renting out the place were violated by it, the Club authorities immediately intervened and it was stopped.
