【JD Gaming Announcement】
After friendly negotiations, former GEN.G bot laner Kim Su-hwan (ID: Peyz) @peyz05 will officially join JDG Esports Club and compete alongside the team in the upcoming season.
Peyz made his debut in GEN.G’s main roster in 2022 and quickly rose to prominence in the LCK thanks to his exceptional talent and dedication. As one of the brightest rising stars, he has reached the LCK Finals four consecutive times, claiming the championship on three occasions. Peyz holds the record as the youngest player in LCK history to achieve 1,000 career kills in the shortest time. Known for his aggressive yet versatile playstyle and outstanding adaptability, he has become a crucial damage-dealing core for his team.
The club is currently working closely with the league to finalize Peyz’s registration process. We sincerely thank all our fans for their continued support and attention. As we embark on a new season, JDG and Peyz will strive together toward the ultimate goal. Welcome to the team, Peyz!

As many of you may know, in the APAC RLCS, there has been an increasing influx of players and teams from Major regions, as well as remote participation in matches over the years.
While this is allowed under the current rules, it is being seen as a significant issue by the original players and community in the region.
Although various individuals have already commented on this issue, I would like to express my opinion as a representative of the JP community.
------
・Impact of the Skill Gap Between Regions
Players from Major regions possess high skill levels, easily surpassing the competitive level that APAC has cultivated over time.
While this has brought some improvement to the overall skill level of the region, it has come at a great cost, including a decline in the number of active players and the loss of opportunities for players(new and old) in the community.
・Deterioration of Player Experience
Participation from remote locations has caused issues such as communication delays and severed connections between players (players from outside the region generally do not interact with existing players), negatively impacting the experience and enjoyment of those participating in tournaments.
Moreover, from the perspective of viewers and supporters, wouldn't people naturally want to cheer for teams and players from their own region?
-----
One thing I want to make clear is that this is not an attempt to criticize any specific players or teams.
This is an issue that cannot be resolved by individual players' sense of morality, but rather requires explicit regulations in the rules.
-----
Proposals for Improvement
・Participation Eligibility Based on Nationality and Residency
I am not suggesting that all foreign players should be excluded, but I believe the tournaments should be structured such that:Teams are composed of players who reside within the region.
Players holding nationality within the region are given priority.
For example, a "1/3 rule" could be introduced, allowing a maximum of one foreign player per team from outside the region.
・Improvement of Play Environment
The gaming environment for Rocket League in APAC has been deteriorating.
Communication delays of nearly 100ms occur even within the APAC region, let alone against neighboring regions like OCE.
Rocket League is approaching its 10th anniversary, during which communication technology and software have made remarkable advances.
While I understand that addressing these issues would involve costs and challenges, I strongly urge the development team to undertake fundamental improvements to the communication and server environment.
Conclusion
I understand that this is a challenging time for the esports industry. However, precisely because of these challenges, I hope the organizers will listen to the voices of the existing community and work together with us to create an even better competitive scene.
