Blimey! I've had a brilliantly productive week & it's only Wednesday!
From applying for something that was massively out of my comfort zone, to updating parts of my website so it reflects what I do, to preparing for a workshop, and publishing a post about a new thing. 😅🙌
Looking for some meal inspiration for the week ahead?
In 2021 my new year resolution was to cook a dish from every country in the world.
Here are all of the 196 dishes I made - many of them are now on regular rotation! 😋

I'm feeling contentedly cosy, after a slowed down Autumnal Sunday - getting outdoors whilst the chicken roasted in the oven, making a strudel with apples a neighbour gave me from their allotment, and watching an old film as the evening crept in. Lovely. ☺️🍂🥮
Along some of the Yorkshire marathon route on my morning run. Good luck to everyone taking it on! Remember, it's not sweaty, it's liquid awesome! 🙌

Good morning! A beautiful, yet frosty start to the day where I am. Hope you have a brilliant Saturday ahead. 🤩
York is a beautiful city full of things to do, but what if you're looking for something a little different?
I've been trying 52 new things a year since 2018, & I thought I'd pull together 52 unusual things to do in York, & yes, I've tried most of them!

Sometimes the things we put off aren't the things we don't want to do.
They're the things we're not quite sure we're brave enough to do.
That experience. That activity. That slightly ridiculous idea that's been rattling around in your brain.
What if you just gave it a go?🧡
I love trying new things, but sometimes I overthink it and wonder what the hell I'm doing. Like the time I tried sand boarding at the Te Paki dunes in New Zealand.
The nerves were real! 🫣

It's spooky season, and despite being a huge sceptic, I've tried some spooky experiences...👻
Which ones have you done? What would you try? And what spooky experiences are missing? 🎃

Gorgeous morning for my 1444th consecutive day of running!
Although I'm not sure there are many days left in shorts as it was quite chilly out! 🍂🏃♀️
🍂What makes an experience cosy? 🍂
After years of intentionally trying new things, I've realised it might have less to do with blankets, candles and hot chocolate, & more to do with being lost in the moment. ☺️

I thought I knew what I was signing up for: ridiculous speeds, 360° spins and getting splashed.
I didn't realise I'd also discover a beautiful part of the Buller River, or that my eyeballs would get a deep clean. 😂

Current life strategy:
1. Try something new
2. See what happens
3. Pretend it was all part of the plan
Working surprisingly well so far! 😁

I went hiking in Abel Tasman National Park expecting a nice walk.
I got turquoise bays, enormous ferns, ridiculously beautiful views, opportunistic birds...and some of the best toilets I've ever encountered on a hike.😂

What a September! I'm feeling so lucky as we had a campervan road trip exploring Germany, and getting to appreciate how beautiful it is. And of course I tried a few new things! 😁
Back to my desk today, and it's going to be a busy and brilliant October! 🤩🙌🇩🇪🚐

Visiting a peanut butter factory probably isn't a must-do visit for many people, but I tried it as one of my #52NewThings when we were in New Zealand. I left thinking about cement mixers, creativity, and discovered an incredible entrepreneur.🤩
