Interesting breakdown of vote. China was the only possessor state that voted in favor. The US, India, Pakistan, DPRK (and Israel) abstained. Russia, the UK and France voted against.
The UN General Assembly just adopted a decision to set up a scientific panel to produce a report examining the consequences of nuclear war. This is an important resolution and here’s the voting result. #UNGA

The Israeli government is killing children, women, and humanitarian workers in Lebanon, just as they have in Gaza.
If International Law is to be worth the paper it is written on, then there must be accountability, not impunity.
We are outraged and deeply saddened by the killing of two beloved members of the UNHCR family and extend our deepest sympathies to their families.
The protection of civilians is a must, in line with obligations under international humanitarian law.
