I've seen many degens turn four or five figures into multi-million bags and then lose it all at once.
Starting from scratch (again) isn't an issue, but it's something you could mitigate.
How I did things differently:🧵
I’m just a stupid kid like many others. Among them are @cz_binance and @cryptogle. Takes one to recognise one
傻孩子 is here:

His mother thought he had lost his mind.
In 2014, CZ sold his apartment and went all-in on Bitcoin.
A year later, BTC crashed more than 70%.
She called him a “stupid kid.”
He kept going.
Today, that stupid kid built Binance.
The team abandoned this narrative.
We didn’t.
傻孩子 is now community-owned.

Don't be alarmed if you see $PONS launch volumes drop today. Looks like the team turned off v1 for new launches last night. While the front end only anyway only showed v2, about 50% of launches in recent days came through v1 (via direct contract address).
Forcing everyone down v2 makes a lot of sense given the anti snipe set up and pons accrues double the fees.
So a generally bullish move for fees but you may see depressed launch volumes initially as that largely bot driven v1 flow has been turned off.
Do you see anon? Sol -> RH -> launchpads -> $PONS -> 1.47$

Wise man once said… couldn’t agree more. Besides that, the multiplier will adjust but i feel like growing the pie will also occur. Same marketshare bigger pie; just do the math
Uniswap launching a launchpad on Robinhood Chain may be the most bullish thing that has ever happened to $PONS
because it just killed the biggest bear case against Pons
$PONS currently trades at just a 0.83x revenue multiple
compare that to:
• 2.7x for $PUMP
• 8.2x for $RAY
• 10.3x for $AERO
• 28.8x for $UNI
• 31.5x for $HYPE
so why is $PONS valued so cheaply?
i believe a major reason was fear that a bigger, better-funded competitor could enter Robinhood Chain and eventually displace Pons
then the biggest possible competitor showed up
Uniswap
the world's largest DEX and one of the largest DeFi projects in crypto launched a highly anticipated launchpad to compete directly with Pons
and what happened?
$PONS barely budged
more importantly, its fundamentals actually improved after Uniswap entered
read that again
the market was afraid a major competitor could come in and kill Pons
the biggest competitor imaginable came in
and Pons got stronger
that is an incredibly powerful validation of the thesis
if Uniswap couldn't displace Pons' lead, the argument that Pons is merely a temporary first mover becomes much harder to defend
instead, the market now has evidence that Pons may have established a durable moat at the center of the Robinhood Chain launchpad ecosystem
and yet $PONS is still trading at just 0.83x revenue
that disconnect is what makes this so interesting
the biggest competitive threat has arrived
Pons survived
Pons strengthened
and the valuation barely reflects it
if the market starts valuing $PONS based on the durability of its position rather than the fear that someone might eventually replace it...
the repricing could be violent
i think new ATHs are only the beginning

~$190k for Aug 10 $PONS rev actually, as the V1 token leg (+16K) folded in after that screenshot was taken
V1 -> $128,804.79
ETH leg: $112,734.81
Token leg: $16,069.98
V2 -> $60,759.63
ETH leg: $57,387.22
Token leg: $3,372.41
Total $189.6k
I had to recalc to check the numbers myself as Adam's showed ~$150k, llama showed $145k, but so far looks like my numbers are holding up
.@ponsdotfamily just had its 4th highest revenue day ever yet $PONS is down over the last 24 hours.
Things that make you go hmm… 🤔

Pons has basically survived Uniswap, Bonk, Cashcat, Sushiswap, and Rialto (a Robinhood partner) all launching or announcing launchpads on Robinhood Chain
and still consistently maintains >50% market share
i also have a very strong feeling $PONS is the next Robinhood listing after $CASHCAT
idk about you, but being underexposed here doesn't sound like a great idea
call me a mid-curved tradfi boomer but at a $25m mkt cap with 26.5% of the supply already burnt in less than a month, $PONS is incredibly mispriced.
the reason for the “discount” is fears of longevity and competitive threat, but we’ve seen Pons maintain the highest mkt share of fees (60-70%) despite launchpads from uniswap, sushi swap, bonk etc and i have reason to think why that should change
people were initially worried if robinhood chain would do well/survive but there are very clear growth trends and it’s evident that CT’s opinion on the ecosystem has drastically improved in the past couple of weeks
80% of the protocol revenue goes to buying and burning the token and u may say that “buybacks don’t work” but that seems to be the opinion of people who make a living out of trading memecoins and hence assessing things primarily on a qualitative and subjective basis…people ignore the fact that there is capital that exists (individual and institutional) where people want to see cash flows and calculate multiples…if you are a fund you have to explain your positions to your LPs (especially if they blow up) and this is why things like hyperliquid and pumpfun have a big institutional cohort of investors
there are still threats to pons like if pumpfun enter rh, if rh dies etc…but if these revenues persist for another month (let alone the possibility of growing) i believe you will see a massive repricing higher in $PONS
for me it’s as simple as keeping track of protocol revenue, and short-term narratives to me are less important. my style of trading has never been to join a crowd “just cos everyone is”, by definition to gain alpha you need to look at things that are mispriced that everyone else fades.
invalidation for me would be a significant prolonged drop in protocol revenue, but while these numbers persist..and grow…i don’t think there’s anything else in the RH ecosystem that is close to matching how mispriced this is.

Available in Beta on Robinhood Chain, with more coming soon
Pons v2 is launching very shortly, and will give massive improvements to the $PONS tokenomics (which are already best in class).
In a recent podcast with fomo, @MEADGod (Pons founder) mentioned that I pushed him to use Uni v4 in Pons v2 - while the v2 overhaul is going to unlock hugely positive network effects within the Pons ecosystem, it's not even close to the extent of innovation possible with Uni v4 that Ozzy is planning.
He told me that he is already working on Pons v3. v1 launched 2 weeks ago and v2 just finished audits.
Today's earnings call from Robinhood made the direction things are going onchain extremely clear.
It's time to take a chance and believe in something.

Ozzy says in the stream below that he wants $PONS to become a 1bn valuation protocol.
How can we get there?
- Current market cap is $33m
- Last 7 days fees are are $1.1m, of which 80% so c.900K flows to buy backs.
- So currently the coin trades a 0.6x annualised buy backs
Path to 1bn
1) v2 is dropping imminently and is expected to mechanically 2x or more fees. So that's $1.8m buy backs per week.
2) The current 0.6x multiple is low because the protocol is so new. Traders are assuming that current fee levels will not prove durable. This is the key point. Every week that goes by with fees at or above this level, the multiple should gradually drift up as the platform proves fees can be sustained at these levels.
3) Pump's equivalent multiple has traded between 3 and 6 in recent times. In a bear market. But clearly Pump at the moment is a more proven protocol and so Pons should trade at a discount.
4) But if $PONS fees are durable - and I think the market is under pricing that outcome given the speed at which the team are innovating, then we could easily get to 15x the current market cap (2x the fees from v2 and a 7.5x multiple rerating over time from 0.6x to 4.5x).
Which would put $PONS at a c.500m market cap.
But note this is all in a bear market on a nascent chain. Seems completely possible that volumes and fees could double or more from current levels if the market picks up. A 2x in launchpad volumes from bear to bull seems conservative if anything.
So to recap, the path to 1bn is:
1) 2x fees from v2 dropping this week. This should be mechanical.
2) Multiple rerate from 0.6x to 4.5x over the next 6 months as $PONS proves it has staying power
3) 2x in fees when the bull market eventually comes back
That results in a 1bn $PONS valuation. Clearly needs the stars to align and the team to continue knocking it out of the park, but none of those assumptions seem aggressive on the face of it.
The key point is really - can the $PONS fees prove durable enough that the multiple rerates towards Pump's? Which is really a bet of the PONS team and on Robinhood chain. Neither of which seem like teams you'd want to fade.
So imo, $PONS to 1bn is completely possible if the team keeps executing and fees prove sticky.
