My 12 year old asked me if I was upset about the election results.
I responded, I鈥檓 disappointed, but also told her, that sometimes in life, you don鈥檛 win. And you have to be ok with that.
You don鈥檛 quit or complain, you work harder and stay true to your convictions.
At the end of the day, my family is healthy, I have jobs lined up and I put a couple hundred miles in on baby girl between job sites today.
God is good.

What an amazing day.
I鈥檝e lived in Southern California my entire life. Been whale watching a few times. We had some free time this afternoon,so I booked a trip for the family. My 12 year old had loved Orcas since she was a baby.
We got to spend 2 hours with 30 or so Orcas. I was torn between watching these amazing creatures and watching the pure wonder and joy on my girls face as she came face to face with her dreams.
God is good.

Kaylub Giamanco says he is haunted by the sound of children pleading for their lives.
He also praised the teacher for grabbing the gunman's weapon, allowing him to take a shot at the shooter.

First morning of Paisleys birthday trip. Mama and sister are at the spa and I鈥檓 doing whatever a 4 year old tells me to do.

Just dropped my 12 year old off at school. I鈥檓 sitting in my house,the wife and toddler are sleeping still, so it鈥檚 quiet.
I remind myself that this here is what I prayed for.
When I got out of prison 19 years ago,then got and stayed sober almost 17 years ago this is what I always wanted.
A home, a family, peace, love, and God has blessed me with all of that and so much more.
Life gets so busy sometimes, I sometimes forget to stop and look around.
And remember to be grateful.
