NEW POLICY REPORT
Ahead of the Assisted Dying Bill returning to the House of Commons this Friday, we have published a new policy report examining the proposed legislation.
Our conclusion is clear: this Bill is not good enough.

There can be no meaningful choice without meaningful alternatives.
Supporters of assisted dying emphasise choice.
The state should not guarantee a pathway to assisted death while being unable to guarantee the care that might make someone wish to continue living.
Ahead of tomorrow’s Second Reading, our new report argues that Parliament should put care before assisted dying.

📢 NEW POLICY REPORT
Tomorrow, Parliament will debate the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill at Second Reading.
Yesterday, we published:
Why the Law for Assisted Dying is Not Good Enough
Our conclusion is clear: this Bill should be rejected
Parliament should not legislate first and address these concerns later.
Care must come first.

Can Andy Burnham’s brand of politics reset the increasingly strained relationship between British Muslims and Westminster, and in particular the Labour Party? Here’s what we think British Muslims can realistically expect from a Burnham government.

No.10's Boycott of the @MuslimCouncil is disgraceful.
The days when Conservative Governments could prop up Muslim organisations based on 1/2 people, funded for their own purposes is over!
Every community has a right to be heard by their government and so do British Muslims.

As Chair of @appghajjumrah I'm very concerned by the implications of changes to the booking system for thousands of potential Hajj pilgrims across the country. In the last week, we've been making representations to relevant parties including the @UK_CAA

The Minister was rightly appalled that 3 yrs on the govts own appointed adviser on Islamaphobia hasn’t been engaged ,resourced or responded to
2 yrs on govt hasn’t met their own advisory group on Anti-Muslim hatred
And 4 years on still not adopted a definition
