Replying to @Robert_Bailey_ @CfJKent
Here’s a small selection Rob. So great to spend time with so many CfJers and hear how well they are doing in all sorts of different careers. A lovely, lively celebration.
Looking forward to seeing everyone at the CfJ summer drinks party tomorrow. Weather looks good, so we'll be at the Green Park tube end of Green Park from 4pm - bring your own picnic, and at the Olde Cheshire Cheese on Fleet Street from 7pm. Details: eventbrite.co.uk/e/912629368…

Thanks Andy. The KMTV journey (11 years for me), has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my time in Kent - seeing the channel develop from the back-of-an-envelope plan to a hugely successful force for good in the county, particularly under your leadership.

A sad day for @KMTV_Kent as @reevesian departs the board. 'Reevaldo' has given me the support & strength I've needed to run the channel through tough times, often sense checking but encouraging & collaborating on some of my more ambitious ideas! A brilliant 9 years. Thank you Ian
One hour in to @KMTV_Kent ‘s 12-hour live election special and the live links keep coming. The peerless @abby__hook and @Robert_Bailey_ anchoring, and lives so far from Ashford, Canterbury, and Medway with many still to come as the results roll in.
VENUE ANNOUNCED:

SAVE THE DATE: Saturday July 13 2024
Attention all students, apprentices and friends of the CfJ past and present.
We're planning a celebration of 16 fabulous years - and a farewell to some of our long-term colleagues - as the CfJ era sadly comes to an end.

More details very soon, but it's likely to be a central London location afternoon/evening of Sat 13 July. Nothing formal (surprisingly the uni is not giving us any budget...) and very much a more the merrier situation.
So mark the date in your diaries and watch this space.

Fantastic to see a full newsroom for this afternoon's inspirational careers session with a deluxe selection of some of the CfJ's finest graduates: @asadekaiyero @James_Averill14 @livielliott09 @chloerose__xo @lrkchr @KatieMayNelson @emma_ogao @AlfieTobutt and @Sam_A_Baker
Fantastic live broadcast to hundreds of 000s of Kent viewers from today's count at Tunbridge Wells, anchored by @Robert_Bailey_ shown here interviewing former CfJ student @dannyesson with a ticker built by former CfJ students @BartholomewHll and @rhodriandrews. #trainedbythebest
We're not in the habit of posting proceedings of @MedwayCouncil committee meetings here, but the short segment at 1'29 mins discussing us and @KMTV_Kent from last night is worth a look. 1/2

@vincemaple is one of those rare politicans who understands the democratic value of engaging with journalists - even (perhaps especially) at the very early stages of their careers. 2/2
Profound thanks to the very many students, graduates, friends and followers who responded so touchingly last month with stories of how the CfJ had been a force for good in their lives.
Sadly, we learned today that our fight to stay open has been lost. 🧵1/
We will have more to say in the days ahead to remind ourselves of the great things that we - and particularly our alumni - have achieved over the years.
And of course we have not forgotten about the 15th anniversary party that we promised... 4/
We'll be submitting our 'counter-proposal' to the university tomorrow to #savethecfj Massive thanks to the many of you who have already weighed in (see collection below). Any more thoughts still very welcome to add to the submission.
