Through the CenterPoint Energy Foundation, we’re proud to award a grant to United Heroes League, a Minnesota nonprofit organization that connects children of service members to opportunities to participate in sports. The United Heroes League provides sports equipment, offers camps and creates special experiences for military families. We appreciate being able to work with the United Heroes League to get more kids off the sidelines and into the game.

It's National Dog Day! Today, we're sharing the story of Jordan Blake, Emergency Preparedness & Response Manager, and Kevin, a six-year-old German Shepherd who serves as Jordan's service dog! Together, they're helping raise awareness about accessibility, inclusion and the important role service dogs play in supporting independence and success in the workplace.

We couldn't book a better way to spend the day. Our employees recently volunteered with @MNSUMankato Maverick Rec N' Read Program, organizing supplies, reading with campers and learning firsthand how the program supports young students in building their literacy skills while having fun and getting active. The CenterPoint Energy Foundation is proud to provide grant funding to support this program that makes building reading and writing skills exciting for young learners.

Digging safely never tasted so sweet! We had a great time celebrating 8-1-1 Day by delivering a sweet treat to emergency responders, construction contractors and safety professionals to thank them for prioritizing safety. We appreciate being able to work with these folks to remind everyone of the importance of contacting 811 a few business days before every dig. Keep yourself and your neighbors safe by avoiding a dig mistake.

Working together for our neighbors. Our Customer Experience team recently volunteered at @2harvest, helping pack meals for those in need across Minnesota.
