That's a wrap on Cohort 2 of the @thraets/ COSI (Center for Open Source Intelligence) OSINT training! 🎉
This time we went fully online, and it brought together 15+ participants from eight countries: Kenya, Nigeria, Malawi, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Somalia, South Sudan and Zimbabwe, plus colleagues working across the Southern Africa region.
Across the sessions, participants built open-source intelligence skills to investigate, verify and document what they find online, and learned from each other's contexts, from East and West Africa to the Horn and Southern Africa.
Running it online showed us that distance doesn't have to be a barrier to building investigative capacity across the continent. Thank you to every participant for your time, curiosity and hard work, and to the trainers who made it happen.
We're already looking forward to hosting Cohort 3. Watch this space!

Access to structured, rigorous internet research training has long been a barrier in many African contexts, and this initiative is a step toward addressing that gap. We are deeply grateful to our first cohort participants for their time, focus, and commitment.
We look forward to welcoming the second cohort soon.
