Our church Trunk or Treat was tonight. Had fun handing out candy to tons of kids from the community. These two were by far my favorite costumes. 😂
Went to a nearby taqueria for lunch today with coworkers. Had a fantastic torta loaded with discada, jamon, and a griddled hot dog. Can’t say the name of the torta on here, the name is not family friendly. 😂

This is the Oxyrhynchus Hymn, dated to the late 200s AD. It is the earliest known Christian hymn manuscript with both lyrics and musical notation. A plain English rendering of the surviving words:
“Let all creation be silent.
Let the shining stars be still.

I love having a local eatery that can be relied upon to always hit the spot.
The Mexican joint just down the street from the house has been my favorite place for breakfast tacos and warm chips and salsa verde for ages now. In recent years they’ve had to add a small charge for endless chips, but it’s so worth it when you get quality food and service in return.

Bend, Oregon man who shot and killed a shooter at his daughters' school speaks out, praises female teacher for fighting the shooter, allowing him to have a clear shot.
Kaylub Giamanco says he is haunted by the sound of children pleading for their lives.
He also praised the teacher for grabbing the gunman's weapon, allowing him to take a shot at the shooter.

Y’all, I would really appreciate your prayers for more energy and a little less stress. Dad life has been significantly busier than usual lately. Up at 4:00 every morning to make sure the girls’ lunches are made and they get up early enough to get dressed and do hair/makeup/etc. before I need to go out the door at 6:00, then not getting to bed until midnight because of evening activities, late dinners, helping with homework, all that jazz. Between all that and work, I am running on fumes. I am beyond blessed in so many ways to have my beautiful daughters, but man, I’m so exhausted.

It's a beautiful day for a FOIA Request to the USPS.
Reasons for the request include:
"This mailer was addressed to my minor children, ages 10, 12, and 14. I have a right to know who is targeting my children with political, sexual, and ideological propaganda, encouraging them to 'emancipate' and find a new 'found family.'"
Presumably every journalist worth their salt has already done this, so I'm probably late to the game, but I'll let you know what I learn.
