AJ Simmons was absolutely incredible as Dawson Kliner in Reacher. What makes his performance so impressive is that we barely knew anything about Dawson. We weren’t given some huge backstory or endless explanations about who he was, yet somehow he still had such a massive presence and impact on the story. There was something incredibly unsettling about him — the quiet confidence, the intensity, the way he carried himself. He didn’t need to say much or be constantly on screen to leave an impression. Every appearance felt like it mattered. That’s the mark of a great performance: taking a character we know so little about and making us feel like there’s so much more beneath the surface. AJ Simmons brought Dawson Kliner to life in a way that made the character memorable, intimidating and genuinely fascinating. I honestly would have loved to know more about Dawson and his story, because the little we saw was enough to leave a lasting impression. Incredible performance. Incredible presence. It’s honestly sad to see more and more actors becoming distant from their fans, turning off comments, limiting interactions, and even disabling tagging on social media. The entertainment industry exists because of talent, hard work and audiences. True fans are a huge part of that journey. It’s just sad when the connection becomes so distant that genuine support starts to feel unwelcome. Of course, everyone deserves privacy and boundaries. But for the genuine fans—the people who have supported them from the beginning, celebrated their successes, watched their work, defended them, and helped build their careers—it can feel like a door is slowly closing. Fans aren’t asking to own anyone or have access to every part of their lives. Sometimes, they simply want to share their appreciation, tag an actor in a meaningful post, or feel like there is still some connection between the people on screen and the people who support them.
