The US could soon have its first exchange traded product for $INJ, but Europe has already had one since 2024.
The difference between them is down to how they work and who can access them.
21Shares and @injective Labs launched AINJ in July 2024 on Euronext Amsterdam and Paris, giving European investors access to staked INJ through regular brokerage accounts.
Now, Canary Capital's proposed Staked INJ ETF, $INJC, could bring that exposure to US brokerage accounts.
Here's how the two compare
- AINJ Europe: Launched in July 2024, AINJ is a debt security issued by 21Shares AG and backed by INJ held with custodians.
Valour also launched an INJ ETP in Sweden in December 2024.
- INJC United States: INJC is structured as a trust that holds INJ directly. Its shares represent an interest in the trust, similar to the structure used by US spot Bitcoin and Ether ETFs.
It remains a proposed product for now.
Both products hold real INJ and stake it, with rewards reflected in the value of their shares. But their legal structures, fees, trading access and custody arrangements differ.
There's one important thing to keep in mind; owning shares in either product isn't the same as holding INJ directly. You can't use those shares to vote on governance, choose validators or interact with Injective applications.
AINJ opened the door for European investors. If approved and listed, INJC could extend access to US investors through traditional brokerage accounts.
AINJ isn't the first INJ exchange traded product. The potential significance of INJC is bringing INJ exposure to the US brokerage market through an ETF structure.

The company plans to tokenize its entire $10 billion mortgage portfolio, comprising more than 29,000 funded mortgages. Importantly, over $1 billion in mortgage records had already been tokenized by September 2026. This is an ongoing migration, not a completed portfolio-wide tokenization.
