Polarons and bipolarons in crystalline and amrophous polymer domains.
Excited to share this design 🎨 that I did for Prof. Natalie Banerji, first author Priscila Cavassin @CavassinP and colleagues from @DCBPunibern!
The work was published in Advanced Materials @AdvSciNews and looks at developing an organic electrochemical transistor based on a conjugated polymer film.

I am very happy to share our recently published work on the impact of morphology on the electrochemical doping of organic mixed ionic-electronic conductors. It’s part of my PhD journey and I am proud of it 🥳⬇️

We show that the doping/dedoping speed and extent are very different in the ordered and disordered domains of P3HT. Bipolarons are found mainly in disordered regions, while polarons are preferentially in the ordered.
