Content warning⚠️. This is not education. This is not religion. This is pure cruelty. This is Child Abusing Act. Education is a fundamental human right. Yet under Taliban group rule, children in madrassas face beatings and violence like this. Deprived of formal education, modern technology, and peaceful spaces to learn, their childhoods and futures are being put at risk and this is all fear and hate child rights. This is neither humane nor consistent with the fundamental values of any religion or culture. The systematic abuse of children and the denial of women’s and girls’ rights are grave violations of human dignity. UN officials must stop private meetings that contribute to the normalisation of the Taliban without accountability. Engagement must not come at the expense of human rights.
