"A well-formed conscience does not simply follow personal preferences or political loyalties. It seeks to recognize what is true and good and pursue its advancement out of loyalty to God first." Thank you for this beautiful line, @bpdflores

The enchantment gives the worthy bearer the power of Thor. In Thor’s case, that gives Thor his own power, just as Odin later said. In Steve’s case, it gives him Thor’s power, which is lightning.
This isn’t complicated.
This very scene proves Odin was an out-and-out liar.
In Ragnarok, Odin looked Thor in the face and said the hammer was only ever meant to help him focus his own power, insisting the lightning was his own ability all along.
Then Steve Rogers, a mortal man from Brooklyn with zero Asgardian DNA, picks up Mjolnir and immediately starts dropping divine lightning bolts directly out of the sky.
Turns out the lightning was in the metal the entire time.
I heard @catholic_comedy picks his nose every morning from a selection of noses.

Hot tip for Boomers: stop asking for everyone to stop paying their fair share *before* your judgment.
“I’m old. I’ve paid my home off,” said Ray Warner, a 72-year-old Akron resident. “Why would I pay property tax?”
Across the country, homeowners are asking the same question and revolting against property taxes at a scale not seen in a half century.

My first Fr. Boss did the crowd-surfing cross on Good Friday thing and that stretched the very limit of my tolerance. But playing the unveiling of the cross as a strip-tease? I’d be pounding down the bishop’s door.
