Ethereum is where builder culture thrives 🤟
A man got fired from his job, was unemployed for 10 months, watched his savings crash 75%, and somehow built one of crypto's biggest exchanges. > In July 2017, Siemens laid off Hayden Adams, a 24-year-old mechanical engineer. > He had no software engineering career to fall back on. > His friend Karl Floersch told him Ethereum was the future and convinced him to learn smart contract development. > Hayden spent two months learning to code. > Then Karl showed him an idea from Vitalik Buterin about how people could trade tokens without a traditional exchange matching buyers and sellers. > Hayden started building a prototype. Called it Uniswap. > By April 2018, he'd been unemployed for 10 months and the crypto he was living on had lost over 75% of its value. > Most people would've started looking for another job. > Hayden booked a flight to South Korea to attend a crypto conference. > He didn't even have a ticket to the event and was turned away at the entrance. > Then he ran into Karl, who introduced him to Vitalik Buterin. > Vitalik pulled out his phone and read Hayden's smart contract right there. > He adviced him to apply for an Ethereum Foundation grant. > Hayden applied and got the grant which was valued at around $100,000 on paper. > After $ETH's price dropped, its actual value was closer to $55,000–$60,000. > He kept building. > On November 2, 2018, Uniswap launched on Ethereum. > Today, it's one of the most important decentralized exchanges in crypto, allowing people to trade tokens without relying on a traditional centralized exchange. A man lost his job, watched his savings collapse, and built one of crypto's biggest financial platforms. Imagine if he'd just updated his CV and moved on.

Salute to @AdamWeitsman. 🫡 NFTs are part of crypto culture. Built by creators, backed by degens, and here to stay. The culture never dies. 🔥
If you are new to the NFT space, let me introduce you to @AdamWeitsman. He has spent $15M to $20M+ of his own cash accumulating 28,000+ NFTs. Number of NFTs sold since day one: 0. Look at how this man moves when everyone else is panic selling: > 2022: Enters NFTs. Buys a Bored Ape in an orange prison jumpsuit because it looks like his old mugshot. > Feb 2023: Pays 1,000 ETH ($1.6M) to Fortnite pro Mongraal for the 1/1 Dookey Dash Golden Key. > Aug 2025: Buys 5,000+ Otherside NFTs OTC directly from Yuga Labs with a multi-year lockup. > Dec 2025: Sweeps 227 Meebits in a single OTC deal. He now holds 1,037 Meebits (5.18% of the entire supply). > July 2026: Joins the Yuga Labs Board of Directors. Takes a $0 salary. > Oct 2026: Abstract chain shuts down. Panic hits Pudgy Penguins. He sweeps 117 Pudgies in one weekend, then quietly buys 14 more this week (now holding 181 Pudgies worth $1.03M+). At today's floor prices, his 28,000+ NFTs are worth around $4.5M to $5M ($3.33M in his main 6,063-NFT gallery alone). He is down $10M to $15M on paper and still hits market-buy every time a project bleeds. I don't think there is another whale in crypto who would sit through a $12M drawdown on JPEGs and still wire fresh cash to support the floor. Nothing but respect for the man.

How does DN404 mint and burn work? 🐱 Using NFT-equivalent units: 2.0 → 1.6: one cat burns. 1.6 → 2.0: one cat mints. 1.6 → 1.2: still one cat. Whole-unit thresholds matter. Fractions stay as tokens. Join the whitelist ↓ cathereum.tech
