Did you know that the very first Library of Things was in a converted shipping container in Norwood?
That very container became @catfordarts gallery in the garden of what is now the Duke of Catford.
Unfortunately the cARTon gallery is now closed.

Four Olympic medals for Lewisham in Paris 2024 & fastest British woman. Better than many countries & shows importance of community sports facilities and clubs like Sutcliffe Park, Herne Hill Velodrome Ladywell Arena, @KentAthClub etc transpont.blogspot.com/2024/…

Congratulations @daryllneita, great last leg to bring home silver medal in 4x100m in Paris. Daryll grew up in Ladywell and now lives in Lee, she ran for Lewisham in youth games when she was at Prendergast Hilly Fields school #lewishampride

Big news - Rolex has moved its corporate headquarters to Lewisham. Or Companies House didn't stop an obvious fraud.
Which could it be?

This is certainly welcome news to see how much network has grown, but much more is needed in Lewisham (blue outline 1st pic), including Lewisham Spine Cycleway route (red line) which Lewisham Council will deliver on Deptford Church St, but now needs TfL to commit to A21 scheme.
Since @SadiqKhan became @MayorofLondon we've QUADRUPLED London's cycle network to 360km.
Our network now reaches 1/4 of Londoners. It's enabled a massive growth in cycling to 1.26m journeys per day - making London a greener safer & healthier city for all.

Why doesn’t @JanetDaby like ceasefires?
Surely she can’t like the alternative?
This is the way to do it @JanetDaby

I have been overwhelmed by the call on me from constituents to back a ceasefire in Gaza.
It is one I agree with.
I will be voting for a ceasefire when such a vote comes to the Commons.

ALT Beth Winter statement which reads: I have been overwhelmed by the calls on me from constituents to back a ceasefire in Gaza. It is one I agree with. If we are to succeed in ending civilian suffering in Gaza, our only chance is to join the weight of global opinion seeking an immediate ceasefire. Proposals for anything less than a ceasefire, including for longer pauses, fail civilians by accepting a role for further military action despite the ongoing humanitarian catastrophe. Therefore, I will be voting for a ceasefire when such a vote comes to the Commons.

Car bores on here often wang on as if I have somehow unfairly impugned the humble SUV driver, & what business is it of mine what car they drive anyway etc. Our new report, Tractor Attack, may help to explain why I talk about this so much, and also: What Is To Be Done About It
