Thanks to @Humberbeat who told me 'we cannot confirm nor deny' when I put these allegations to them on the 18th of September!

Tomorrow's Sunday papers have reports that both Luke Campbell and Mothin Ali are under police investigation for different matters. Do wonder if there is something in what Michael says here. Are such investigations more common now due to more bad behaviour? Or higher standards?
I calculate that since Jonathan Aitken was jailed for perjury in 1999 - 27 years ago - 20 serving or former MPs or MEPs have gone to prison for offences other than acts of political protest. Yes from 1945 to 1999 - 44 years - I can think of only four cases of MPs or MEPs (or former) who were jailed.

BREAKING: Dan Thomas, leader of Reform in Wales, quits. He says: "Over the weekend, I was reported to the police and was released without charge. I stress that I have done nothing wrong, but I do not want the coming headlines to be a distraction from the fantastic work our Senedd team is doing in holding this government to account."

BREAKING WELSH NEWS Reform MS Sarah Cooper-Lesadd has defected to Plaid Cymru. She has released an absolutely damning statement regarding Reform: “Today I have left Reform UK and joined Plaid Cymru and its Senedd group. “I grew up in the care system. I stood for the Senedd to be a voice for care-experienced people, who are still badly under-represented in our politics. I want to improve people’s lives, stand up for people who are overlooked and get things done. My approach is evidence-led and rooted in what works for our communities. “Reform has no interest in the work I came here to do. They are not serious about governing Wales. They are far more interested in division, opposition and headlines than in finding solutions. There is a real appetite in the group to want the government to fail, and no interest in what that failure would mean for the people we represent. “They oppose measures without any coherent explanation. I wanted to vote for the supplementary budget, which every party should have supported, and I argued against tabling the Nation of Sanctuary debate, and I was criticised for sitting it out. Having just spoken about my own childhood trauma, I could not in good conscience sit through it. “I cannot support Reform's attacks on people seeking sanctuary or other vulnerable groups. I particularly reject the way minorities have too often been used as political targets. I do not believe anyone should be scapegoated or dehumanised to win votes, and I will not be part of a politics that does that. “The party centrally has no interest in Wales. Their Senedd group is a staging post in the effort to get Nigel Farage into Downing Street, and that was glaringly obvious at its conference this week. “To everyone who voted Reform in May: I have not stopped listening to you. You told me you felt ignored and let down. Those concerns are real, and they will be answered by delivery, not division. “Wales is a small country with enormous potential. Devolution is how that potential is realised, with decisions made closer to the people they affect. "I believe in a Wales that is confident, compassionate and ambitious. A Wales that uses the powers it has to improve people’s lives and seeks the powers it still needs. "Plaid is serious about governing, serious about delivery and serious about Wales. It is a party that believes in our communities and believes Wales can do more when decisions are made closer to the people they affect. “I know what I am asking of Plaid members who spent May campaigning against the party I stood for, and I will work to earn their trust. “I came into politics to give people a voice, improve lives and get things done, including for every child growing up in care in Wales today. Plaid Cymru is the best place for me to do that, and I am ready to get to work."

Richard Tice called them "thugs" on Saturday night.
How dare you call them “thugs” @KemiBadenoch? Badenoch and the Tory party threw open our borders and let in 130,000 invaders by boat. She and her party forced these men onto working class communities. British working class women and girls were raped and murdered. Now she calls the people whose lives are being turned upside down “thugs”? The Tories sneer at voters from their ivory tower. This is why the Tory Party must be destroyed.

The weird thing about this is every journalist at Reform conference who spoke to people who attended the business dinner heard the same story. So when the Reform leadership make this charge, we all know it's the Reform leadership that are the liars.
Fascinating to watch this bizarre pile on against @harriet_symonds and the Politics Home team from senior Reform figures, on a tweet that is several days old, and a story that was also reported by other outlets including our own @ShippersUnbound spectator.com/article/the-fi…

Still at @Gatwick_Airport and now staff are making jokes about the "slightly delay". Not really appropriate @Ryanair
Half an hour on and there is still no one from @Ryanair to help paying customers. There's a guy in crutches and several people with young children expected to just wait, without answers, until midnight

The only person at airline information has literally run away rather than help. We have small children, as do many others. Why are you not helping people?

Essex Police deny there was a threat to any of the Clacton candidates at the count. Farage rather gave the game away about his real reason for not attending in his 3am speech to supporters. "I’m damned if I’m going to stand on a stage, having won a resounding victory, a ringing endorsement of all that I’ve tried to fight for, and you’ve tried to fight for, and be demeaned and humiliated by nobodies." huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/n…
