Biden announced a new plan for student debt relief that would rely on the Higher Education Act, which allows the Secretary of Education to "compromise, waive or release" federal student loans. We hope this will positively affect the student debt crisis.

I went from interning at Attorney Crump’s office to him tweeting about my work with our new nonprofit, @CashInGradOut. This is extremely full circle.

After Pharrell Williams gifted 5 NAACP student leaders w/ student loan forgiveness during Juneteenth, they were inspired to start the Cash In Grad Out Foundation! The foundation aims to educate HBCU students about the impacts of student loan debt! 👏🏿 blackenterprise.com/paying-i…
Financial literacy is an important conversation as the student debt crisis rages on. Students must be educated about how the weight of these loans will impact on their futures.

The Cash In Grad Out Foundation, Inc. is proud to announce our commitment to the advancement and development of HBCU students and graduates through our work to find a solution to the student debt crisis that disproportionately affects HBCU graduates.
After that fateful Juneteenth weekend where Pharrell and the Something In The Water team paid off our loans, we wanted to give back to the institutions that were designed to support the advancement of Black professionals. A simple conversation is now a full fledged organization.
Follow us on our journey and see what we have in store for the world.
