I am deeply honored and humbled to announce that I have been awarded the 2025 Savio L-Y. Woo Translational Biomechanics Medal by ASME (The American Society of Mechanical Engineers) @ASMEdotorg. Receiving this medal named in honor of the esteemed Professor Savio L-Y. Woo feels like an incredible privilege. This award recognizes efforts in translating biomechanics and bioengineering research into practical solutions that improve human health and quality of life. It's a recognition that underscores the importance of our collective work in these fields. I owe immense gratitude to my students, mentees, colleagues, mentors, and those who nominated me. Happy to share a new @theNASEM publication: On Leading a Lab: Strengthening Scientific Leadership in Responsible Research: Proceedings of a Workshop. I had the honor of working with @ThomasArrison and other leaders in organizing this workshop and discussing the best practices in leading labs, teams, centers, and institutes. I learned a lot and I think about those lessons daily as I lead a diverse and inclusive lab with high ethical standards. If you are a leader or thinking about being a leader in future, you must read this publication. It was wonderful to represent my institution @cwru @CaseEngineer and @NewVoicesNASEM in this workshop. 👉Link to download a free copy: nap.nationalacademies.org/ca…
