We’re sorry to hear that @andyburnham’s father, Roy, has died having lived with Alzheimer’s disease. Our thoughts are with Andy and his family during this difficult time. 💙 By speaking candidly about his family’s experience with #dementia, the Prime Minister has helped shine a light on the impact of dementia, as well as the urgent need to improve dementia care and support. If you have been affected by this news and need dementia support, including advice on coping with grief and bereavement, you can contact our Helpline by calling 0800 888 6678 or emailing helpline@dementiauk.org.

Did you spot @Hannahdementia on @BBCTheOneShow last night? 📺 She joined The Traitors' Rachel Duffy to talk about why it's so important to have conversations with children about #dementia. The segment featured a new board game from @LivUni and @lbsorg, designed to help families start those conversations.

At the @SuffolkShow this afternoon, Farmers Guide managing director Julie Goulding and director Greg Goulding were invited to attend a cheque presentation on the @tnstractors stand, where the company announced it had raised an astonishing £308,000 for @DementiaUK 👏 The charity was chosen following the loss of John Thurlow in 2024. Last year, our team received a lovely letter from James Thurlow sharing how much of a fan his father was of Farmers Guide: ‘Dad was to the end a true ambassador for FG, regaling stories of his time when Doug approached him for support with a new East Anglia farming publication. I’m sure dad, nor Doug ever really realised the success that FG would see. Three generations of family, millions of publications and highly regarded throughout the farming world. This is something to be exceptionally proud of. Thank you to you and thank you to the team at FG!’ Starting in Stowmarket as George Thurlow and Sons in 1875, TNS celebrated its 150th anniversary last year and remains proudly family-run six generations on 🏆 Here James Thurlow is pictured presenting the £308,000 cheque to (l) Sarah Child, community fundraising manager of Dementia UK, and (r) Caroline Scates director of nursing services at Dementia UK. #FarmersGuide #SuffolkShow #TNS #ThurlowNunn #DementiaUK
