Buck Colbert Franklin was a Black lawyer who survived the 1921 Tulsa race riots and fought won in the court on the behalf of other survivors.
A Linux developer tool just dropped its entire C++ codebase for Rust.
It’s called mold, and it helps developers build software faster by combining compiled code into the final program.
Version 3.0 is a complete Rust rewrite, and the developers say it’s still just as fast as the C++ version.
It keeps the same commands and supported architectures. They even built all Gentoo packages to check compatibility and reported no regressions.
The rewrite also replaces CMake with Cargo, removes Intel’s oneTBB dependency and adds bounds checking when processing corrupted files.
Now the developers want to close the remaining compatibility gaps with GNU ld so Linux distributions can adopt mold as their default.

She got pregnant with him in high school. His bio dad bailed the same day she told him.
She missed her prom to take care of her son. Today that same son asked her to prom and gave her back the night she gave up for him😭🩵🫂

none of this is hidden. it's the same kit pentesters use on the job.
the catch: it's only legal on things you own or have written permission to test.
the best way to learn how you get hacked is to run the attack on yourself first.

So we just gonna ignore the fact that there’s a whole advanced civilization living right under us??? I’m never going to the beach again 💀
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The video is AI-generated fiction depicting an impossible elaborate "crab city," not real footage. Real beach crab burrows (e.g. ghost crabs) are simple individual tunnels typically 1-4 cm wide and under 50 cm deep.

Absolument !

Looking to understand the backend of compiler design?
"Engineering a Compiler" (3rd Ed) by Cooper & Torczon is highly rated for its practical approach to optimization, register allocation, & SSA form.
"I love these explorations into low-level work; how and where do we get started?" - one of the most common DMs.
We had great references back then, but acquired most knowledge hands-on - getting it wrong once, repeating mistakes twice, and slowly learning the trade. Through that process of doing, the concepts got etched into memory such that even today, the recall is 100%.
Among those references, some age exceptionally well. "Advanced C and C++ Compiling" by Milan Stevanovic is one of them. The fundamentals it covers remain as relevant today as when it was published.
