The volleyball community is built by people who dedicate their time, passion, and heart to growing the game. This July, we lost John "Jack" Stewart Petty Jr., a beloved member of the volleyball community whose impact extended far beyond the court! Jack served the sport as a player, coach, mentor, and organizer. His dedication helped shape the game and the people around him, including his support in founding and growing the Chapel Hill Area Volleyball Club, which created opportunities for young athletes to learn the game and experience the lifelong friendships, teamwork, and community that volleyball fosters. We extend our heartfelt condolences to Jack’s wife, Sally, his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. We honor his life and the lasting legacy he leaves in our volleyball community. ❤️
